So had the car 2 months now and all the windows keep steaming up we're having to keep putting the vents on to clear it every 3-5 minutes,it's driving me mad, anyone else having the same issue, possible water getting in somewhere!

Are you in normal mode?
Try taking out of comfort mode for climate control ?

It's a gen 2 is that possible
Yes

If you’re driving in Eco mode, it doesn’t keep the windscreen clear. It only blows warm/hot air when in Normal/Aport mode. Also, what N2STY said about air volume affects it too.

When you have been using the HVAC and turn it off, makes sure the system has not defaulted back to recirc mode.
Otherwise the windows will misty up in only a few minutes !.
In the bottom corner of the HVAC screen, you will see the symbol of an arrow turning back on itself, when this is displayed you are in recirc mode.
Each press will cycle through the three options.
Recirc on ( back arrow ) recirc off ( arrow showing air being drawn in from outside ) and the “A” symbol for Auto mode !.
It was similar on the Gen 1 model but you had a recirc button with an orange light, to tell you when it was on !.

This is my biggest gripe with the air conditioning system. It's happened to me before where I've started a journey by manually changing the vent mode to 'external' and about 30 minutes later it's defaulted back to 'Recirculation' for no reason, it's frustrating as all hell!

It only default back to recirc mode, if you make any changes to the HVAC settings while on the move.
I tend to keep the HVAC screen up a lot of the time when travelling a distance, not ideal but it works for me at least.
This way I can monitor what is going on with
the settings all of the time.
It will default to “Auto” mode as well some times, which includes A/C when I don’t want it.
Like many of these automatic systems, it thinks it knows what you want, better than you do yourself unfortunately 🤣.

Mine does the same.
It always defaults to aircon on and recirculate, so if i ever turn the aircon off or change the air from blowing on to the windscreen to blow at me then the car will steam up within a couple of minutes.
Im looking forward to summer where i can have the windows open to air out all the trapped moisture!

Yeah - it’s a sneaky bugger !.
When it thinks you’re not looking 👀 it will slip back into the recirc mode when you have made a general manual adjustment of the fictional air flow of HVAC system 🤣.
You will quickly notice it had selected recirc mode, when very soon as the front edge of the side windows and corners of the front screen, will start to mist up !.
Quick visual check confirms that you are now in recirc mode 😣.
Of course this can catch you out unawares, if you have flipped over to another screen in the info unit !.
That is why I will leave up the HVAC screen up, if I think the weather is likely to be changeable on that trip and therefore I will be likely need to adjust the HVAC settings on route.

Its makes no sense why car manufacturers have so many features that have a stupid default, especially an EV where power saving should be their first priority.
Bring back the old dial and AC buttons that only turn on when the driver wants them on!

Yes our new mgev5 estate has real damp mist issues and the recirculate I always turn off. I think water is getting in the door or window seals , often damp just inside the door on floor. I've just taken it back and they've dried it out and tested and said it's okay. I'm going to leave it parked outside and only get in with a change of dry shoes and see if it happens again. We park on a sloping road , but maybe getting in when driving in the rain . Definitely not right I reckon

We've had the car since November - similar timeline

Took my ZS EV back the other day for them to have a look and they said they couldn't find any fault as to why it's misting up so much.
I did notice yesterday though when I opened the sunroof the seal area and the mesh at the front of it was drenched, so will dry that off today and check regularly incase that's where the moisturtis getting in.
They pretty much just advised me I have to use the heating system as there's no heat from the engine like a ice car that can naturally warm up the cabin.

It's really not good enough, to have to have the heating on full blast all the time . Should have splashed out on a bloody skoda

Is one of the drain holes for the sun roof blocked by any chance ?.

These things can happen to your windows of course when parked up late at night…
