MG ZS EV Shipping Updates

Huh? Where did that info come from? The live services ect (Connect features) are still a part of the ZS EV Trophy package currently, and is still being supplied on delivered cars AFAIK

Well I’m due to pick up my ZS EV TC LR tomorrow ordered February 22, Im told Trophy yes but not “connect”. I can live with that as long as it has the Sunroof which it should given it was ordered well before the June/July announcement by MG. I’ll let you know..

Just had a phone call from Glynn Hopkins. My car is being delivered next Friday (10th March). Ordered mid January 2022. Car is a trophy connect long range in black. This is a lease through octopus energy salary sacrifice scheme.

That doesn't sound right at all unless they've changed your order/swapped it for a cancellation. All that aside, congrats on being able to finally collect your car! Enjoy the first drive

Car collected today. I’m all good, crossed lines with dealer in that any new Trophy orders placed now or after last July will not get the “Connect” part, but mine ordered February 22 I have Sunroof, Tinted Windows, LR TC so all present and correct. I’ve attached a picture here to “keep the faith” for all who are still waiting for their MG ZS that it is well worth the wait.

Been reading this forum for a while now but only just joined.

Our SE LR ordered Feb 2022 is apparently now in the country and should be ready for mid-March!

Well that was short-lived.

Back at the time of ordering in Feb 2022, we'd applied for the Scottish EST 0% EV loan to purchase the car. They told us yesterday, when we asked to drawdown the loan and after a year of waiting, that our loan application expired in July. No correspondence then or since to notify us of that.

Not willing to pay the silly interest rates that are on offer these days so ZS had to be cancelled. A damn shame as we were getting the SE LR for £26971 through Affinity, which is an amazing deal in today's climate. Oh well, good luck all with your cars!

Yeah it confused me a little, but it’s all there thankfully. The dealer agreed the sunroof in particular is fabulous and they should not have removed it.

Yep its a very nice car. I’ve never had an EV before so it was really strange because it’s so quiet I couldn’t tell it was in the ready state to drive

Looks like you collected from the same dealer local to us. Our delivery is now confirmed as early May 2023 but the exact date is not yet confirmed.

We can’t complain with the way they managed the sale and communication over the year long wait. Their inspection and handover was very straightforward given it was a very busy few days with all the new car registrations. All the best with your new car

Hi all, I have been watching this forum for a while now listening to the woes of others and I thought I’d share my experience, in the hope it may make people feel better.
March 2022 ordered 2No. MG ZS TLR through my company’s salary sacrifice scheme, one for me and 1 for my wife. Told at the time estimated delivery was 20 weeks which matched what I was told independently by 3 dealers.
A week after ordering found that Zenith didn’t process the second order, so had to place another order. No biggies as delivery time remained the same. After not receiving confirmation of the order, I followed up and was told the order had not been placed for a 2nd time as their supplier had changed the price of the vehicle and they were in discussion about who was to incur this cost (told them it wasn’t me). Three weeks later (April 21) told the issue had been resolved and the order had been placed.
Again not having had confirmation of the order, I chased Zenith and having failed to get a response from them so called their supplier and advised that MG at the time had closed their doors to new orders and my car hadn’t been ordered. Then spent 3 weeks emailing and calling Zenith to discuss the issue, but they wouldn’t respond. Eventually after calling several times over two days and refusing to hang up while someone finished a meeting. It was confirmed the order had not been placed (May 21).
The order was then eventually placed at the start of June and I received confirmation that the order had been placed with a delivery date of April 23.
I then raised a complaint and after 4 weeks of investigation, it was concluded what I had told them in my complaint was correct, and in their response (July 2022) they advised the order placed in June had not actually been placed.
I have now spent over 7 months receiving monthly emails saying the estimated delivery date of the ordered vehicle has been pushed back (now May 2023) and arguing with Zenith to supply me with a similar vehicle to replace the second one not ordered.
To make matters worse during this time where my wife and I work has introduced a clean air zone and now have to pay this charge as our current vehicles don’t comply.
I’m not looking for sympathy, just highlighting to those frustrated by delays with their orders that things could be worse.

Update on my order as of 20/2/23 told by Zenith car was due to arrive on 21/4/23 as mine was one of 375 arriving in the UK in March, called today to check all was on track and....yep you've guessed it the car is not arriving and is awaiting a build slot as there is a semi conductor shortage.... the wait continues....What I don't understand is, there doesn't seem to be a semi conductor shortage for MG4s or 5s

Nope - my ZS is the base model - so no sunroof - we've still been waiting 1 year now and no news.

This is what frustrates me (I've been in the same situation), how can it go from you've got a delivery date, and therefore it's been built, to it's on shortage so not built.

Another TC LR - you must be happy! Don't temp fate, snap it up as soon as possible .
