New MG4 Shipment?

Well phoned up this morning and Graham wasn't available, but spoke to another Graham, who said he would check on the latest on my car, but you can guess, still waiting for a call back!!!
Unfortunately, I’ve had that happen a few times as well. Sarah has provided the best support for me personally, despite it not being her specific job.

I placed my order with Perth, prior to cancelling, as much as they were all quite likeable, I had zero contact instigated by them in near 3 months I had my order with them, all contact had to be made by me
Yes - unfortunately it‘s not uncommon. It’s been said many times - it’s ok not bothering too much when your sales books are full - to an extent you get away with poor customer service.
But, some customers will have long memories and in the medium to long term reputation will get damaged.
The undercurrent of poor customer service linked with issues with the actual cars is potentially a brand damaging one for MG.
As I’ve posted, I’m finding that I’m having to justify why I put up with no updates and the potential for a long wait, coupled with possible issues and further poor customer service once the car arrives. I might get a car without issues - but somehow I don’t have that confidence.
Why should it be like that? Shouldn’t buying your car and getting any issues sorted be a pleasant experience?

Totally agree, obviously can't speak to how they would be with issues as I never made it that far, the dealers certainly have been hamstrung by MG it would appear

I have just cancelled my Leaseplan MG4 order.

Leaseplan weren't happy, but the dealer couldn't care less - which is why I decided to cancel originally - I had absolutely zero faith they had any interest in delivering fleet orders.

Can't really justify buying one myself, even though stock is available all over the place, as you're into year old Model 3 money, so will hopefully pick up a LR MG5 Exclusive over the next week or so.

Best of luck, I hope you get your car as promised. Looks like Scotland is going to have a good few MG4 drivers to wave at each other.

Sadly, I'm still trying to get an update from my dealer on when in March I will get my car that seemingly arrived in the country in Feb. Hmm. Perhaps they meant March 2024?

Cheers! I shall let you guys know how it went tomorrow and yes, they’re finally starting to trickle through. I’d have thought you’d have your car by now if it arrived at the port in February. Mind you, MG did slow things down with their software update, but still it can’t be long now. 🤞

I have had to initiate contact with my dealer also. Once a month I have had to ask about the progress of my and my wife's orders. They are the nearest MG dealer to me and in the next town. So I really don't have a lot of choice.

Don’t give up…. It’s worth waiting for. 😎
UPDATE: Just spoke to Mike from MG Perth, my car will be arriving at the dealership next week. They will contact me when it arrives to go in and complete paper work, so fingers crossed should have my car for the 1st April... :)

Mines docking in this country this weekend, not how long after that it takes, Drive at Darlington are the dealers, communication is not the greatest, you always have to contact them. My white one must be close.
Mine took about 2 weeks from Portbury to Perry's Preston

Great news. hopefully, you might get it sooner.

I've just had a call from my dealer to say my car arrived today. They reckon they will have it ready for me to pick up on Tuesday. We will see but at least things are moving forward.

Not sure if it helps but mine has taken slightly over 3 weeks from docking to delivery (thats assuming they deliver next Tuesday as promised).

Is that an MGB in your Avatar?

My car was supposed to arrive in the country last Friday on the Garnet Ace. However, this got moved to this Sunday and it’s now Monday before it arrives at Prestbury.

For some reason the ship was going to the Tyne and is now sitting off the coast at South Shields. God knows why!
