Petersfield to Manchester Centre managed 3.8 miles per kWh, mainly duel carriageway and motorway. Raining most of the way so aircon, heat, wipers, lights etc on. 100% start, first stop at 175 miles and 4 hours of driving arrived with 28% and 67miles range. 18 mins for a toilet and coffee grab while topped up on a BP 150kw rapid saw 82% and 140kw for a bit! Arrived with 51% and 120 miles so very happy with that, didn’t waste any time charging and could have made it with out charging but needed a comfort break.

Nice - highest I've ever had was 113kw off an Ionity - Impressive

Did you drive in 'normal all the time - I routinely engage 'Eco' - But I'm questioning the 'benefits' of this mode

Also.... did you use the pre heat for the battery or just the fact you had driven for as long - assumed that the battery temp would be fine and not need pre-conditioning

Normal or sport, highest regen, control the level of regen with the throttle on down hill sections with some longer down hills in neutral coasting (you can coast by getting the power meter on ‘0‘ by feathering the throttle too). Eco is ok but you can eco drive in Normal/sport mode with better results, Normal is good for motorways as the brakes are more responsive and the steering is not quite so heavy but more feel than the light weight of Eco Mode. I have Custom set up for light steering with everything else Normal for city driving.
No battery pre heat as it wasn’t cold enough to activate according to the car.

…..needs to be under 35% to get over 130kw I find

…..should mention it’s a Trophy, loaded with 2 adults, some luggage on the rear seat and a 42kg dog in the boot. Cold tyres 2.6bar all round 2.8 once up to temperature.

Nice to know, I shall be visiting Manchester from Southampton fairly regularly
Stafford North on the M6 is a handy stop, 3 GridServe rapids and 4 150kw BP Pulse. The BP rapids are better and are tucked behind the petrol station so often get missed.

Thanks for the tip, I wondered about the Trafford Tesla chargers as I’ll be passing fairly close and I also noticed a couple of MFG sites that usually have 4-8 Chargers each as well

Return journey was similar at 3.8 mi per kWh, saw 4 miles per kWh on the last 50 miles. Started with 96%. No rain, dry but colder at 6-8°c. Stopped for a toilet break at 176 miles with 28% and 68 miles on the GOM, had another 58 miles to home so topped up on a BP Pulse rapid that was disappointingly slow at 34kw but only needed a 20 mile buffer to be safe. 14 mins was enough for a toilet and for the dog to stretch his legs and even though the charge was slow had more than needed to get home. Arrived with 14% battery so very pleased with how easy this car is on longer trips, the extra range with the 135kw (+) charging makes all my longer trips (200-400 miles) no different in time taken than any ice vehicle I’ve had as my rest stops are the same, 3 hours is my limit before needing a 15-30 minute break. The long motorway drive was effortless, city streets a breeze and the last 35 miles on the twisty A272 was fun. The negative is the autopilot, we all no that’s disappointing so hopefully once the software is sorted out I’ll have the same smooth experience as I had in the ZS.

How is the space for the dog in the boot ? We have a 35Kg Goldie and am hoping she'll have plenty of room (she does lie down in the car most of the time). Thanks :)

My German Shepherd is big, 42kg, 75cm floor to shoulder, 95cm to his head and 130cm nose to the base of his tail. Floor is in the lowest position and he can sit up ok if a bit stooped and I removed the floor level change hump at the back (not necessary but gives a flatter space with no lumps). He‘s comfortable over long trips, being so long in the body finds it a bit awkward to turn but manages it ok.

Hi Alan, dropped the boot floor a la your video, suits the dog just fine. For the removal of the 'blocks' did you use a 10mm socket with an extender? Just wanted to check I got it right before buying one!

Hi, glad it was useful. Yes a 10mm socket with extender to reach the bolts. It’s a small change but really makes the space more usable for the dog.
