Evening all,
I’ve now completed over 5450 miles since March in my ZS EV; and I love it...got my car booked in for the updates next week and so happy days.
I’ve had no problems with my car until now except the infotainment system going off and re-booting, which really annoys me and it freezes sometimes too, but I can live with that, however today I’ve had my first issue, talk about timing with the car booked in next week.
The radio has lost its connection stating ‘Radio Modules Is Disconnected’ has anyone else had this issue. I’m hoping that in the wording of disconnected it’s simply like a connection has come undone, albeit that worries me if cables or connections just drop out.
Everything else on the unit still works, but I will let you know what MG says when it’s resolved.
Complete 360 + miles today and charged with Polar three times and all worked like clockwork very easy to use with the Polar Plus App.
All the best

So no-one else has had this error displayed on the infotainment unit, radio module disconnected??
Will find out tomorrow when it goes in to have this looked at and the software updates applied.

Hello Mark
Was meant to reply earlier been busy at work. I have had that message a few times but it has always sorted it self out.
The main error I get is Bluetooth module disconnected unable to reconnect, I have to turn everything off and restart and it still does it after the update.

Thank you, I’ve tried turning on and off yet still nothing as in Radio or DAB signal, using USB for music at present.

No probs
Hopefully it will reset once update is done otherwise sounds like the unit could be at fault. Please let us know how you get on as I'll be interested to see if my Bluetooth fault could be the unit as well.

Will do Allen78 as quite a few have reported issues with the unit, perhaps it’s not fit for purpose.
Does anyone know if there is a market upgrade that can be purchased at own cost to replace the factory fitted unit??

The only problem I seem to have is when I touch the telephone icon on the screen, more times than most, nothing happens.
I'm using the Waze app more and that seems to be OK for the phone, though. And it's a really good SatNav too, which is of course, its primary function!

Hi Mark I hope you don't mind be getting in on this.
Open your Glove box there are two big knobs in there turn both and remove then remove the glove box.
Looking inside theres the broadcast unit, itll have a mini usb plug and one other plug. carefully pull them both out. wait 5 mins plug them in and try your infotainment unit. it should be ok.

They did get it working the other day, but this is useful info and so thank you, any chance of adding a picture to ensure other if faced with the same issue know which items to separate.?

Just had this problem on the return run from Birmingham and will try his in the morning.
thank you for the solution, in advance.

Good Morning.
Tried the disconnect this morning & all working again.
Thanks MG Tech, and I know you are doing this unofficially but it would be Great if MG officially support the forum. Just think off the good P.R. this would give them .
I have attached a photo with the plugs out. Bottom one is USB.

Will this have the same effect as disconnecting the battery? Asking for a friend whose satnav doesn't work ;)

Edit - nevermind, it didn't work, car now at dealers.

Hi Mark, I have bought my MG ZS EV in July, and the service department did the second generation infotainment system upgrade, and after the radio don't work any more, it's displaying a radio module initialising. The rest, working ok.
I unplugged the USB and the other plug, but nothing changed.

Then I would suggest you get it back to the dealer to double check on this occasion, sorry can’t be of anymore help.

Yes I get this a lot...where there used to be road works...sometimes years ago!!

If you switch off the reading of speed signs all together I suppose this will also disappear, but in the main is it that much of an issue after all its alerts you to a sign of some sort and it disappears after a reasonable amount of time..for me it’s not the end of the world.

Got a new ZS EV and the infotainment system also have been switching off whilst driving. It is ok after restarting the car but this is not possible whilst driving. Have you got to the bottom of this? Is it a firmware update requirement or a hardware problem?
