Hello, anyone having trouble with connecting the car and iPhone via Apple Car play? Should be a case of plug and play according to the log book but I cannot get it to work. Bluetooth works fine.
Yes. No luck after several hours trying different cables, switching things off and on again, using both USB ports on the car...Do you unlock the phone when it's plugged in?
You absolutely should. When using CarPlay in my Ioniq, nothing comes through the phone speakers. That's kind of the point. Can anyone confirm if when using CarPlay you can get voice feedback to come through the car rather than from the phones speaker?
Apple CarPlay works great with iPhone while connected by USB cable (driver's USB slot), but as soon as I remove the cable and try it with Bluetooth connection then the iPhone connects to Bluetooth fine, but CarPlay is not giving the "green" light. So there must still be something that is denying CarPlay to be used wirelessly. (Latest iPhone software/latest MG update is done).
Any ideas?
I don't think the ZS has wireless CarPlay - there's only really a small number of cars that have Wireless CarPlay so far, so think you'll have to be connected by cable for CarPlay. I'll hopefully get a chance to play with it next week (excited!).
Not as expensive as a car with wireless car play or changing the stereo system, if you want wireless CarPlay. But it’s def more expensive than just using the cable. It’s expensive!.
