Did the dealer ask you about updating anything, tell you about it & give you the choice etc?
I know what you mean, it is safer to wait until the newer bms has been out a while.

Oh, did you get the obd2 versions before and after the update then, interesting to know what they were/are. So they were the only 2 modules updated to provide the comfort pack 2?

I know what you mean, show the user something - a voltage, but not the actual capacity (in kWh) so that they won't know when they've got less than 70% to make a warranty claim lol

No they didn't, and in fact I specifically requested the Comfort 2, it was not offered as part of the service (paid or otherwise), I think that the dealer may be managing resource though given Covid as they are generally pro-active in what they offer. Unfortunately I Didn't get the readings prior to the year 1 service and update to Comfort 2

A bit like ICE cars when you were younger (well maybe not all) and just kept adding on Halfords gadgets just for the sake of it.

Well most electric cars show State of Charge % but this is not included on the MG ZS EV and this is what every owner has been after since 2019. This is a free 3rd part Android only app that gathers the data from the car via OBDII adaptor so we can see battery % / State of Health and lots of other data we have previously not had access to on the car.

I and lots of other mg zs EV users have been after a simple battery % which this free app provided. Just don’t use it if it’s not for you (no need to try and work out why other owners want it)

Had my OBD device delivered today. After a bit of fiddling I managed to get things working and had some readings but quickly it crashed with the attached error messages. Any ideas? Thanks.
