Hi,

Could any one tell me how to change the driver console screen (the one behind the steering wheel) to show the temperatures in celcius instead of farenheit? I've looked inthe manual but not been able to find the relevant info.

I have already changed the sat nav/multi-media/Android Auto screen to show celcius, so I do not need help to do that one.

Thanks in advance!

Mebbe they still think we're fully imperial, given we use miles. As Homer Simpson said about fuel consumption "I get 30 chains per hogshead, and THAT'S the way I like it...."

...Sorry, that's not much help, but I'd be interested in a sensible answer too....

It must be doable - mine was already showing it in C when I picked it up. I'd take a look in the settings menu.

Try pressing the demister button for five seconds....(or a little bit longer )
I could be wrong tho

Still no luck changing it back. Will try prrssing more buttons and hope I get lucky - certainly nothing obvious has been found to change this over.

At least we still have the centre console screen to look at for celcius 🤣

Wait, how did you change it on the entertainment? I've been trying to figure out how to change it the other way as I don't understand centigrade...

Sadly I didn't manually change it and I can't replicate the change back the other way.

It happened after the console was reset to factory settings - this was done to resolve an issue we had with Android Auto.

Android Auto is now working (which I'm very glad about for Google Maps and Spotify alone), but we still have the centre screen showing celcius and the steering wheel screen showing farenheit.

I find it easiet to look at the steering wheel screen for info such as time and the temperature which is why I'd like it to show centrigrate there too.

I did try anoither factory reset to see if that would revert the change, but it didn't.

But it is not enough of a problem for me to loose sleep over as we have it in centrigrade on the other screen.

If both screens were in farenheight on my car then I'd feel your pain with them both showing centrigrade on your car!

All I can sugest is to try the factory reset option and see if that does anything... Do keep in mind that any other settings you've manually tweaked will also be reset.

There must be some weird undocumented CAN magic afoot I would think. Perhaps the dealers have a computer tool that happens to have this function? hmmm

I have this issue too.
My car is booked in with the dealer next week to sort out my SatNav problem so I'll ask them to revert it at the same time.
I fully expect them to say they don't know how........

Same thing happened with me. The satnav locked up completely so I had to do a factory rest. Now have Celsius on the infotainment system and Fahrenheit on the main display.

On most cars there is a shortcut.....like say: hold recirculation and some other button together.... Then it changes. My tip is...look up the shortcut for most car brands and try it out on the mg.....

Odd, I want to change mine from C to F, same with Bar to psi which I can do on the ZS but the option is missing on the 5.

In the infotainment settings, go in display and there is an option to change units etc, only in the 5 the only option is to change from miles/km the rest are missing.

Any new wisdom in this area, tried the EQ/soundstage hack but to no avail?

I've not yet heard of anyone fixing this, be it dealer or owner.
