CCS rapid charge issues on zs-any one else?

At lease it’s moving on when they strip the car should check leads on a meter from the charge port to new charger if not replacing them, but many not think to do this.

Thanks Andy. I.ve got mine booked in but it's about another 2 weeks until it goes in. 😒
Fingers crossed you're issue will sorted!

update I have been to the local new dealer in my area which is good that I don't have to travel an hour and more to get to it any more! I have waited a few weeks to get it in regarding my CCS 50kw charger issue and they checked things like tyres and coolant etc which I was not really interested in or asked for and then they spent what seemed to be a second on the issue of my CCS charger not locking in or charging and then said I did not provide the CCS cable charger in the car for them to test the car with and they did not have one in the workshop to test the vehicle with.
Alarm bells were then ringing that this MG dealer ship had staff working on the EV cars that had no training as they did not know that I cannot supply a CCS 50kw charger cable and they had to go to a rapid charger installation if they did not have one on site.
I then had to explain the difference in charging speeds and cable differences and basically the service staff and the mechanic at this large dealership chain had no idea about the EVs they were selling. ( not a new experience)
The service staff then tried to resolve the issue (get rid of me) by telling me that they plan to get a rapid charger fitted in some months on the site and i should look at calling in to see when it is installed so the dealership then can hook up the car and see what the CCS charger issue was. I advise that could be 6-12 months before it is installed or more and the service desk understood i saw through the lies. I then advised again that this was an issue with other MG EV's aswell and they have taken the car to a rapid charger just to confirm what the owner is complaining about.
The service staff then finally said they will get in touch with MG and ask them for advice on how to fix/look into the matter if they have had other reports as well. I'm not holding my breath as I still think it was a ploy to get me out the service area but lets hope i'm wrong. watch this space.

I would take this up with th director of the company and in writing also a copy to MG that they seem unable to address you car problem and a lack of training.

Thanks for the replies. How do I go about getting InTouch with MG? Do we have an email for them? I was thinking of this but unsure how. I will give the dealership a week 1st to see what they come back with too but also I think they also need to know about their lack of EV knowledge at this dealership.

You could send by the old letter system.

It's not unusual for dealers to only have a type 2, but they should know where the nearest rapid is.

From my experience MG are some of the better dealers for knowledge along with Nissan. Most of the rest are useless in understanding anything about EV's. Thank god for Forums like this.

Agree but in the early days nissan tried to give my Nissan leaf an oil service 😂 until I reminded them for the third time it is an EV.

Which dealer did you go to? Don't ever be afraid to 'name and shame' them. We don't hesitate in giving positive feedback and the opposite is IMO even more important. This service is just not good enough, not only is it bad but it's fundamentally dishonest.

MG customer service has rang me and basically told me to try a different dealership to get my car sorted and if they cannot fixed the issue they should raise a technical case with MG so they will help them fix the issue.
Now the other dealerships are some distance away so i contacted the dealership I 1st went to and asked if they had logged a case with MG as they said they would. I felt they said it to get rid of me and it seems nearly 2 weeks later i was correct. I chased the service staff up and they 1st said a case to MG had been submitted but a day later they admitted it had not been submitted but were going to chase it up.
So far it seems i have to find a dealership that has access to a ccs rapid charger to look at my ZS charging issues. I was expecting more from MG and feel a little let down by them.

I doubt that you will find a dealership that have their own CCS, mine certainly don't. Probably the best you can do is drag a mechanic out to the nearest public one

To be honest that garage has probably shown it is a waste of time. how far is the next nearest?
