I've had the new ZS Trophy Connect for 12 days now, Wednesday I had a Warning light come up. Says "Maintain vehicle soon". Yellow triangle and exclamation mark stuck on corner of dash and full text warning on start up each time. I've done 900 miles so far.

Talking to 2 dealerships (one local and one where I bought it) they say it just needs to be brought in and turned off as it's some how thinking it needs a service when it shouldn't for a further 14k miles or so.

With the cars being new to the dealerships , they were keen to understand what it was and help for the future reference.

I'll keep you posted on what happens and if it is anything more than a simple warning error.

Anyone else had a similar warning?

I haven't had that but I do recall seeing in the settings the number of miles remaining until a service is due and a very tempting button you can press to reset it.

I was tempted to do it, but the remaining miles is correct, which made it feel unconnected to the issue.

When speaking with one of the dealerships they suggested to not change it via that, as it would reset the service interval and then cause issues later on when the car needed to be serviced at the right time.

Hi, what was the outcome of this?

Hi, I've done 1650 miles and Maintain vehicle soon Yellow lights on. Can you please let us know if your dealer reset it?

I have the same problem. I about every 500 km a service soon message appear and the yellow triangle is lighting yellow ⚠️

I just need to go under car settings and where it shows how long it remains to next service just click on the reset button. The message will disappear and the triangle also.

When reset the service interval not changes.

Next question? How do you reset the service interval? If the remaining miles stays constant, there must be a different way to reset the interval.

I reset in this menu. In the button "Återställning" which is reset in english.

In touch screen: Car -> Vehicle information -> Next maintence

As this appears to be a fairly common problem on the face lift model, should the dealer be resetting the service interval counter as part of the PDI prior to delivery to the customer ?.
Service intervals are 12 months or 15,000 miles ( or what ever arrives first ) on the ZS EV if I remember correctly?.
As the cars have only covered a few miles, does this imply that either the service interval has never been reset or the cars where built a long time ago !.

Every morning when I switch on trophy connect, there is a greeting voice saying today is 1st Jan 2019. It was a demo car built in July 2021. However during my lunch break, it changed announcement to the correct date.

That is very interesting, thanks for posting !.
Looks like the car had not been aligned to the correct date and time, but has now finally caught up.
Done via over the air updates maybe ???.
This should have been re- aligned as part of the PDI service surely ?.

If mine is on WiFi or I think on CarPlay, then the time is correct - otherwise I’m back in 2019.

I wonder if the cars arrive at the dealers with a default date and time? If part of the PDI is to set the correct date, that might trigger the service interval warning which would be a few years out of date now.

Hi! Came across this forum as I Googled the error message. We've only had our MG ZS Trophy Connect for a few weeks now. It's done approx 500 miles and now this error message is appearing. Has anyone heard anything from MG?

I reset service interval back to 15000miles. Error message is gone. Next time you start the car the interval will show correct miles as before.

They should have been reset as part of the PDI before the car was offered for collection.
The cars have been sitting around for a long time, eating away at the time period for the service schedule is my guess.
