If it's anything like the MG5, it can't be done :(

On the main infotainment screen press ‘Set up’ then ‘System’. Then as shown in the first photo press each corner of the screen in numerical order. This should bring up the engineer’s menu ‘Unit Settings’. Then you can change PSI and maybe back to Celsius.

Don’t know if this works on EHS and you will also need the correct software version. All at owners risk.

On the ehs the menu is different. But there must be an easier way no?

I did it on my car this morning but it may be better to take back to the dealership if you think it’s different screen layout but I could not see why yours would be different.

Hi
Did your instructions on my car this morning but did not come up with the English translation next to the Chinese Symbols.

Did you put these in yourself for help.

That's means you have an older version of the software, you can tell by the date in the white box at the bottom, when I found this after having my car back from dealer everyone on the FB group has what you had and only after a update did they get the right one, this was back in December 21 pop it's back to the dealer and get them to change back and update :)

I guess then that my SW is as of 24/09/20 as in the photo attached. I specifically asked my dealer if the SW was latest, he said that it was as it was checked on the PDI together with the SatNav.
So is my SW out of date or is it still the latest that is available in English?

do the secret hand shake as above , and check the date in the white box , mine is 19-11-2021, and the above menu works from 25-10-2021 if that make sense, i never look at the version as im sure after you update the sat nav it changes it and from memory all car leave the factory with 2019 maps , hence you having to update for free withing 90 days attached is what i believe to be the latest version of the head unit software is (not maps but the head units os) ill go get a pic of the screen you are in for you to compare though give me a few mins

Hi chillijohn.
Thanks for your photos that I have now printed.
Correct me if I'm wrong but It would seem that the software version I have is dated 24/09/20 whereas yours is 19/11/21. I am not clear as to whether the mapping has any bearing on the SW versions or not. I would have thought that they would be different updates. I will try the magic 1234 tomorrow, I assume this cannot screw up anything with the head ?
If the dealer has not actually checked the updates for my new car and fobbed me off hoping I will not check myself, I will be very much not impressed. However it may be he has not been told the truth by whoever did the PDI at the dealers.
My father always told me to never trust what a car dealer or garage tells you. He marked the spark plugs, filters, sump plug and anything that was included when his car went in for service and woe be tide if he found anything not done as it should have been.

I've not worked the version numbers out , as part of it is the map version etc and I have updated my maps , I go ok the date in the white box that pops up, it is consistent that way if you see what I mean, no won't mess anything up in that menu, just press X after it pops up.

chilljohn has generally answered it. My software version is 25-10-21. Incidentally I had an earlier version than this but I had the dreaded ‘radio module initialisation’ fault. The dealer fixed the radio fault and it also updated the software as well. It’s now much better tyre pressure is showing psi instead of bar.

Hello
out of interest do you know if there is a reset for the TPMS in this menu if you need to have them replaced. I can see you can change from PSI to BAR eg.
