MG4, Zappi and Octopus Intelligent Go

Yes mine is always set to 80% but I was shocked when it was suddenly on 40% and I know for a fact it has happened to quite a few Octopus customers and some of them are long distance users so need to wake up to 100% but were waking up to eg 60%... My car never goes below 60% usually but was on...

MG4, Zappi and Octopus Intelligent Go

OK apologies. After testing, the ADD TO CHARGE is definitely how much charge you want to add on and not what I thought it was. eg If you're at 49% and you want to charge to 80% you can put it on 31% like I did last night however I'll just leave it on 80% as usual. So with my neighbours problem...

MG4, Zappi and Octopus Intelligent Go

Set it to 80% and the car charges to 80%. Set it to 40% and it won't charge because it may already be higher than that, ours is always higher around 60% so adding 40% charge should take it to 100% but those two times set to 40% it acted as though it was unplugged.. If it was to add 80% I'd...

MG4, Zappi and Octopus Intelligent Go

This is a heads up for anybody with the above gear but I also know it's happened with other cars and maybe other chargers used with Octopus. A month ago a neighbour with identical gear as us had a problem, his car wouldn't charge for 2 days and he had no schedule. It took quite a while of...

To Update MG4 software or Not?

Somebody suggested they could have done a software update on the stuff that MG have told them to do eg toning the LKA down. If I wanted to go from R33 to R63 then I would have to pay. Must admit I went out in it earlier and it wasn't pulling me over like it normally does.

To Update MG4 software or Not?

An update on my opening post. I had my first service yesterday so speaking to the service tech I said would the update be done because I'm still on SW168-29958-1300R33 and I'm on of those who always thinks 'If it ain't broke don't fix it'. He said there are a lot of improvements like the LKA and...

    Electric battery lawn mower

We bought a Ferrex one from ALDI about 5 years ago on a whim and still going strong. I then replaced all my big named tools with Ferrex equivalents and they are all excellent so cordless drill, hammer drill, impact driver, angle grinder, circular saw, hedge trimmers and others I can't remember...

Looking for MGS5 Boot liner with bumper flap.

I carry a lot of music gear in mine, guitars, keyboards, combo's, mixers etc and I've ruined every car I've had. I also have to drop the back seat to fit gear in. Bought this for the MG4 and it works a treat...

    Road tax scam

I stand corrected and that's why you can tell it's a scam, idiots using the words Road Tax, every UK driver knows it doesn't exist.

    Road tax scam

Yes I know, the DVLA have never used those words and the Scammers quite cleverly didn't use it either or else everybody in the UK would know it's fake. They've used Vehicle Tax which is correct and some may fall for it.

    Road tax scam

At least they didn't type Road Tax because everybody would know it was fake. DVLA has never called it Road Tax unless it was back before 1937 in the UK. Got to give the Scammers credit for that.
