    MG4 vs Tesla Model 3

Good news you are happy with your new M3. I agree that the new version is a big improvement on the previous version, which I had as a long-term hire car a couple of years ago. I have just upgraded my MG4 Long Range, which I have owned for 16 months and 17k miles, to an MG4 Extended Range...

Bulldog MG - MG Dealer Discussion, Opinions & Experiences

I believe a major factor was what Miles was discussing on the recent Video around MG increasing their range of cars requiring more showroom space and starting to dictate things such as how the Cyberster is displayed in the showroom might have been factors. My belief is this was an MG decision...

Bulldog MG - MG Dealer Discussion, Opinions & Experiences

Really not happy about Bulldog losing their sales franchise. Seriously considering whether our next EV's will be MG's after owning four of them. I prefer smaller local dealers rather than large nationwide franchises. My experiences indicate that service levels are better with smaller firms.

    MG4 vs Tesla Model 3

Good point on the repair costs. I have seen a few Youtubers with Tesla's mention expensive repair costs too.

    Anyone crashed their car?

Picture of my BMW i3 in April 2021 after someone tried to push me off the road to make way for them to overtake me on a blind bend. I would have ended up in a ditch had the nudge by the other car been successful. They ended up hitting a car head on with a young mum and her daughter onboard...

    MG4 vs Tesla Model 3

I had a Model 3 Long Range as a loan car for 3 months whilst my BMW i3 was off the road due to a collision caused by someone trying to overtake me on a blind bend. Recently, I had a Long-Range Model Y on a 24-hour test drive and extended test drives on the new Highland Model 3 and a standard...

Zs ev 52000 miles suddenly very noisy in travel, sounds like a noisy engine ??

As widely reported, it's not the only issue they have!

How much do you spend on charging?

We pay an average of 2p a mile for our ZS and MG4. We spend more of course if we need to use public charging. For example, I regularly drive a 370+ mile round trip. My total cost for this trip is on average £35 (Just under £5 for home charging and around £30 for public charging), giving an...

Zs ev 52000 miles suddenly very noisy in travel, sounds like a noisy engine ??

Blimey. Sounds like a rant from the Daily Express. Here's my ten cents based on almost 19 years of driving 'electrified' vehicles: Reliability I have driven and owned lots of different EV's and hybrid cars, starting with my Toyota Prius in 2005. And, as a high mileage driver, the only...

    Tesla Model Y v MG4 Trophy

I did the very same thing just before Christmas, apart from the fact I had the Model Y for 24 hours, I still came to the same conclusion. It made me realise how good the MG4 is. This was my summary of the Model Y: Positives Better than expected ride quality on 19-inch wheels. Bigger wheels...

Charging MG4 Trophy LR, how much do you get at home in 4 hrs?

We add just over 40 kWh's in our 6-hour Octopus cheap rate window, so around 27 kWh in 4 hours using our PodPoint Solo charger. MG app indicates a charge speed of around 6.7kW. In terms of chargers, we have an EaseeOne charger which is restricted to 3.6kW and a Podpoint Solo which runs at...

    Positive Vibes for the MG4

Hi Simon, they did a temporary repair, which seems to be as good as new, whilst they ordered the parts, which interestingly they said are on back order. Perhaps an indication of a recurring issue?

    Positive Vibes for the MG4

Same here. Mine was delivered in November 2022 and aside from the footrest failing, which was fixed at the last service, I find the car to be spot on. We've owned 8 different EV's and a Tesla Model 3 on long term loan and I would say the MG4 is top of the pile for my use case, which involves a...

    Fatigue alarm

My car does this sometimes on longer journeys. Just switch off the driver fatigue alert in the settings. This can be done whilst driving. I have the Drive Mode Screen set as my left-hand shortcut button so it takes 5 seconds to switch it off. I find there is no obvious logic as to why it...
