Unfortunately no. It's up to SAIC to allow an update to the built in eSIM to enable comms between the car and their servers + updating the app to allow creating of an account in Mauritius

MG needs to seriously consider letting people choose their own SIM provider

It's used by some people using a wifi dongle. Basically pop any SIM you want in there and broadcast a wifi signal in your car. MG should've given the choice to customers regarding which eSIM/SIM to use. Right now you're all tied to KPN and whatever partners they got in country

I suspect that in time regulators will command that a manufacturer must at least allow for a customer to use their own SIMs... the 'when' remains to be seen

Sorry to resurrect this thread, has anyone been able to speak to MG to understand if we can push our own profiles to the eSIM? My country isn't supported at the moment I'd like to push a global eSIM profile to that eSIM

The unfortunate thing is that we got no control. For my home automation I do my best to purchase products that I know can remain off the cloud and connected to my LAN only. The day MG kills the server this whole service is gone. Something needs to be done

As for me MG doesn't support my country.. I just wish I could swap out the SIM (eSIM) ... so aggravating
