In essence yes with a 16amp cable you will only get a max of 3k on any ac charge point with 32amp cable you will get a max of just under 7kw, with a sr MG4, phase 1 (my22-23) LR cars can use 3 phase and with a 3 phase 32amp cable could charge on ac up to 11kw

unfortunately in this case the OP has an SR which does not do 3 phase.

Difficult to give a definitive answer but try the following: Use the USB A socket not the C. Wait until infotainment system has started before plugging phone in. Open phone once plugged in or try plugging in once phone is open. Use a genuine Apple cable not another make.

I use the lower amp setting if charging at friends using the granny charger as I don’t want to stress their electrics and do a slow charge over night.

Destination chargers are normally ”rapid chargers”, usually ac ones or just the option of a 3 pin plug, something to plug into for hours rather than minutes, whilst you are at an event, shopping or whatever you have driven to todo.

i believe your problem here is that you are requesting an update which takes time that the the dealer prob would not be able to charge back to MG. if you cited a specific issue that they felt an info software update would cure this is likely to be covered under warranty. I would wait for a...
