Hijacking the thread a bit: what battery is recommended? Tayna suggests AGM type, but given the cost I would be tempted to go with classic lead acid since we don't need to crank anything in the car. Opinions?

Yeah, I tried that (as far as I felt comfortable given how flimsly looking it is) but no luck so far. I might raise it during the next service, can't be too bothered travelling 17 miles to the nearest MG for such thing (especially since the lock over solves this issue brilliantly)

Sorry, but I am not following your train of thought. All car manufacturers put some tinting on the glass to reduce the internal heat and stress for the customers, MG does not. As a result during the hot sunny days combination of this factor and black leather means that you are literally boiling...

I mean (please correct me If I am wrong), it looks like it's an android box which is connected to android auto via cable, so pretty much the same effect as me using an old android phone and keeping it in the car all the time (hidden and out of sight). I am perplexed about this bit as well...

Imho from the cost perspective it's a grey area (i.e. if it was in winter, could you turn on your own oil heater for 12hours?). I would be mostly concerned about the wiring as well, ie. I am using only granny charger and still I've rewired my whole garage because existing cables were not thick...

Just had the same issue, solved by unplugging white cable for 10sec. No video but done instructions until they're fresh in my mind. Open glove box. On the sides there are couple of plastic bits with a cut in the middle. By using a coin rotate them in horizontal position and pull them out. Now...

I usually lock via button on the door handle, but this should not affect the functionality. It is a granny charger supplied by MG (I will try later a public one to see if there is any differences). I do hear a sound on locking & unlocking the car coming from the area of the charging connection...

I was under assumption that if I am charging the car and I lock it, then the locking cable should be locked as well preventing theft.
