    Close to zero?

I've only ever gone down to 7% on a trip far from home and that was scary enough! Worth checking out the Bjorn Nyland video showing the LR at 0% but continuing to drive (slowly) for 24km: So there's SOME buffer in there in an emergency but I wouldn't ever rely on it.

Are you happy with your MG4?

No undertray problems at all, checked when I got the car and still the same.

Are you happy with your MG4?

Software updates yes, Video walk-round was a service member actually recording a short 2 min video showing the car from all angles, then up on the lift and underneath listing off the tyre tread measurements and confirming the brakes were OK, that sort of thing. I didn't get a courtesy car this...

Are you happy with your MG4?

Agreed! I'd love having AC chargers on the streets here. Also the first service at Macklin went by with no problems at all, quite nice to have a video walk-around as well.

Are you happy with your MG4?

Short one for me, 1 year on from first getting into my SR SE and it's still a fantastic vehicle. The main, ongoing problem for me is unreliable public charging; ChargePlace Scotland and InstaVolt used to be rock solid and now are a gamble on the charge starting or not (very frustrating on a road...

    First day tips

What car have you driven before? Have you tried an EV? If not I would recommend setting the car to "Eco" mode as a sort of soft limit on the accelerator pedal. 1st most biggest thing to acclimatise to for me was the snappy acceleration, I was more than a little nervous on the test drive and when...

MG4 Spotted! : Was it you?

Orange Trophy '23 spotted at the Premier Inn last Saturday, I was there visiting MCM Birmingham!

    MG4 standard range increased?

The range remaining (also known as a guess-o-meter) can change a lot, and for the SE SR I think the latter two numbers are closer to correct based on my own experience (EDIT: in the summer at least*): 100% charge, 323km (200 miles) 77% charge, 249km (154 miles) Idk why it showed 198km...

    UK Public rapid charging costs

Funny enough I've recently put together a list of the public chargers I frequent or have nearby access to, and a £/kwh to £/mile conversion chart: This doesn't account for e.g. conversion losses so the actual price is likely off, it's simply [£ per kWh] divided by [Miles per kWh]. I've yet...

    MFG Chargers and MG4 compatibility?

Purely anecdotal but in the 4-5 times I've used MFG's chargers it works first time, no problems. In fact they're one of the more reliable options I've used, alongside Instavolt.

so.. who misses their ICE car....

I went from an '08 Ford Focus Zetec Auto to the MG4 SR SE, and it was like a quantum leap into the future in comparison. Stuff that is standard on most cars nowadays like cruise control (let alone ACC or TJA), android auto, bluetooth audio and reversing sensors are all brand new to me! It took...

MG4 Spotted! : Was it you?

I think they're getting gradually more popular, I'm seeing 1-3 MG4s every weekend I travel the M8, and one or two occasionally in the Edin city centre, even spied one with an NHS sticker on it. As for other brands: I see hundreds of Teslas (ofc), a fair number of VW ID.3s and ID.4s, a bunch of...

MG4 Spotted! : Was it you?

Does this count? Spotted last week in the St. James Quarter in Edinburgh. Gave it a wave but got no response from the driver! 😁

MG4 Spotted! : Was it you?

Spotted 4 in one day again as I was visiting family over in East Kilbride; one grey near the town centre at ~5pm, one blue coming the other way into the Whirlies roundabout, then a red and a blue on the M8.
