Hi - We got our new MG HS Trophy Hybrid + in December 2025, and I understand that from January 2026 Android Auto/Apple CarPlay will be wireless. Not sure if it can be updated to wireless.
Can we update it ourselves or is this something the dealership can do?

It happened to my wife this week and although the speedo still worked nothing else could be accessed and we all know that everything runs through that screen.

I have a four-way boot hoist for my mobility scooter and it fits in and is extremely useful if you have mobility issues. I would take a trip to the dealership as the car we ordered came with a slightly smaller boot due to the hybrid system.
We have purchased a USB C to lightning adapter and just use the Anker USB C cable for both phones and it works with charging and data transfer, ie Android Auto and Apple Car Play.
We have two front but just one rear. Not sure why a car with all the advance safety features has only one rear fog light.
Maybe the light bar at the back is more visible in foggy conditions.
This may sound silly but on our December 2025 HS Hybrid + you can press the icon on the infotainment system and they are actually working buttons. Even the sales rep thought they were just icons. They are on the top right so close to steering wheel.

We have tried a USB dongle and two different cables but it keeps losing connection and when we try only Bluetooth only connection for music it's very hit and miss.

I finally found out that it was a message in the cars system. If you swipe left and click user icon it was a message to say the car was registered with MG and a Sat Nav POi for the dealership. It's not anything to do with my mobile text messages or notifications.
No text or notifications as my phone is not connected to the car yet. We have sent destinations to the sat nav from the ISmart app but it won't show in the car either.
