The only way mine got fixed was for dealer to send it back to MG. They did something with it, update or whatever, but no details were given.

Well according to MG it was only warranted for 3 years and it was just over this,! I pointed out I had been taking it in for about a year with similar problems, so it was a known issue! It was the whole unit. The usb ports in the front didn't work but the back ones did. No android auto, usb, reversing sensors, camera or indicator noise!

I would imagine it just plugs in. But it would be pot luck if it works I guess. Worth a try. MGUK don't know the meaning of the words urgent or quick.

Mines 21 plate and going back in march too. Surprised if they could charge you if it's just failed. Best to ask the dealer if it just plugs in. It took them (MGUK) 3 weeks to sent mine back....

Just be aware that updating the files doesn't always solve the problem. I updated mine and the fault came back

I installed the files and thought it has fixed it..was ok for a while and then problem came back. Now unit has packed up completely and at Longbridge for diagnosis. Just pointing out that updating the dab files does not always fix the problem.

They really are hopeless at fixing things! We have to go through all these processes which we and even the dealer knows won't work. There is also a cost to all these trips to dealers. Don't know why they can't just replace straightaway. I love the MG5 but I will never have another MG due to the...

How did you get on with this in the end? I have the same, my unit has gone to Longbridge. It was constantly trying to reboot. I've seen a secondhand unit for sale, it may be quicker and easier to buy this! (But maybe it will suffer same issues)!

Yeah mine has completely packed up. I had the radio module disconnected for about a year on and off. Tried updating dab files that worked for a while then it came back. This time the unit just keeps trying to re-boot every 45 seconds, disconnecting 12v makes no difference. Anyway it's at...

I had the Radio Module Disconnected error. I tried the DAB update files, but the error returned. Unit is now at Longbridge for testing as has now failed completely. Apparently there are a huge number of warranty claims to do with the infotainment. My local dealer couldn't give me an appointment...

Now the unit has gone off to Longbridge for testing...let's see if they return it fixed or send a new one. For now, no screen, no reversing camera etc etc. Everything takes so long to sort out.

Oh yes I've done that about 5 times. No joy Not for 10 minutes though Left it for about an hour. Makes no difference. I bet if it was a Ford they'd have a new unit pretty quick. At least I've got it booked in in 3 days time. Take it from there....

My infotainment has stopped working now 21 plate SR. I've had the radio module disconnected error on and off for about a year. Don't have that fault at the moment but now the screen won't boot up, it just shows mg logo briefly and then continually tries to re-boot with no success. No doubt there...
