After the latest batch of updates to my car, it's completely transformed my opinion of the car. MG really are missing a trick by not pushing out updates OTA or at least allowing people to book their cars in for FOC updates.

There aren't. It took them that many attempts to get this one right!

Does the update provide anything meaningful for those that use Carplay or Android Auto? Like the speed limit database or similar? It's always something I've toyed with doing but always stop as I can't be bothered to go back to a dealer (again) if it goes wrong!

I find it actually gets confused with street lights or house lights in the distance too. It works for me most of the time but it's one feature I just can't get used to.

It's really poor isn't it. It's put me off the brand. If you don't value your customers post sale, you won't get them back again. And for something so simple...some software updates. Not really the dealers at fault, it's MG themselves. Likely why MG were voted bottom in a survey of garages too...

Just been doing some testing of this. In the settings menu the "on-line entertainment network switch" now shows as off. Even turning it back on doesn't give me data - the weather widget doesn't update and checking for non existent updates gives a connection error. Connected to WiFi at my house...

Mine has done the same. My online data setting switch thing in the settings screen had gone off, turned it back on but still no dice. Haven't used streaming at all. Weather widget won't update either. Just some other garbage software problem to add to all the others

I wish I was in that boat! Mine's tested every time it brakes for no reason and for those split seconds I watch the car behind, hoping they've noticed my car's gone rogue!
