The lot at MG are still beaten by the Fiat dealer I saw a while back. Looked like Matt Lucas with a shiny grey skin tight well fitted suit, massive translucent g-shock watch and proclaimed he would give me a ‘balls out deal’. Struggled not to burst out laughing in the showroom.

You’re right. It amazes and saddens me. Also quite comical when you know more than the sales guy does about the car they’re supposed to be selling. Although saying that, the phone holder is a really nice feature 😆

The S5 feels more premium than a BMW 1 series that’s for sure! Also, my point was more about how bad the ‘sales’ person was. More anti sales!

Yes indeed I took a hit because the car on buy back was 6 weeks old. Very little I can do without a real fight and getting other bodies involved to prove the car is faulty. That’s a fight I don’t have the time or energy to engage in. The dealership was very laissez faire about everything...

No idea. The dealership had no interest in looking into the issue so was having. Once they go to me today it was a very swift swap of details so I could get paid, they didn’t even want to go look at the car to check I hadn’t scratched it etc (I insisted). Shall take my leave from the forums...

I didn’t get a chance to check I’m afraid. It was a new car at the end of December and I remember checking it was up to date then, if that helps at all.

Glad you’re getting good results (assuming your figures are derived from actual calculations, not what the car says, given my above experience). Your mileage is certainly very low! I had a slow month - only 1 trade show - and still did 1,400 miles.
