Bulldog MG - MG Dealer Discussion, Opinions & Experiences

Just wanted to say that we were very pleased when we had our car serviced at Bulldog in Twyford. Nothing in particular needed doing, it was just time for its service. We plan to go back when it's time for its next service.

    MG5 Washer Jets Freezing

Success! Thanks @Dino and @turpsey123 I put a large flathead screwdriver into the slot and twisted firmly - the panels then just popped out to allow me to unscrew the Phillips head screws. I took off both of the tail light acccess hatches and gave each side of the trim in turn a sharp pull and...

    MG5 Washer Jets Freezing

Thanks for the detailed info. I feel this is pretty dumb but I need more help to get started. I had a go this afternoon but for the life of me I can't get the little panels at the bottom of the grab handles out. I've tried various small screwdrivers in the slot but all I can make happen is...

    MG5 Washer Jets Freezing

Now I've read this, I think that this has happened on our car as I saw some blue-ish coloured marks on the floor of the boot. Could you explain how you took the trim off or post a video? (I don't want to break anything) Thanks

Delivered today .... day one couple of questions:

    6) On the floor mats, I had exactly the same with the mats provided by the leasing compay - the holes weren't exactly the right distance apart. I decided to buy a set of the 'official' ones from MG and they did fit a lot better. It took a bit of phoning around to find a convenient dealer that...

    Parking

I too ended up slightly wonky between the lines - I rarely use the camera anymore except to judge how far back I am in conjuction with the parking sensors and, for my car, when the back of the bay or the kerb is nearly at the bottom of the screen, I know I am in. As for parking nose in, I do...

    Remote boot opener doesnt work

Re: boot unlocking My experience is that if you have the key on you and approach the boot, it unlocks so you can then press the boot latch to open the boot - I've not used the button on the key.

Brilliant - thank you so much

    MG5 LR full manual

@David B Thanks for the tip - unfortunately, the reponse I got from the customer service centre said that there wasn't a pdf manual for the infotainment unit - they also said that there wasn't a printed one either and that there was only the info stored in the unit itself. Could you DM the pdf...

    Energy Provider Recommendation

I would also recommend Octopus - the customer service we got from them was great. We got moved to Octopus as SoLR and there were a lot of issues with transferring our account (shortly before the old supplier failed, we'd only recently moved from traditional to smart meter but the old supplier...

Anywhere do rubber inserts for door pockets?

Thanks - I knew that someone would have the answer!

Anywhere do rubber inserts for door pockets?

The door pockets on our MG5 are just hard plastic with no liner. Has anyone found somewhere that makes liners (rubber would do, it's only to stop things moving so easily)? Our previous car had very thin carpet-type fabric on the bottom of the door pockets to stop things sliding around quite so...

MG5 Exclusive LR - minimum charge kW power requirement

Will the car charge if there is less than 1.4 kW available? I have seen a comment on another website that some other brands of car have a low power AC charge setting. The person mentioned theirs will still charge even as low as 600W. I have solar PV and want to use as much of this as I can...
