My mg5 does this every so often , total pain in the parts . A firmware update improved it but not cured . It would help if mg published software versions and the bug fixes they included

Get a home charger , switch to octopus agile , get the home battery , add solar if you like . But get all the above that talk to home assistant so you can charge at the cheapest rates whenever they are

Mine is totally unusable , just says failed every time even cleared the cache , no better , as its so bad . MG should roll back

Interested to know what parts are as I have an mg5 with 2 doors that occasionally do not open
