Will this war push more EV uptake?
Yes, provided the person is thinking of changing their vehicle. It might mean that used EV's will increase in value (just a thought).
Whatever your budget for changing your vehicle, if a suitable EV can be found at that price then it makes economic sense...
Definitely needs replacing. If you do manage to get it done FOC, I would coat the whole underbody and exhaust with Lanoguard. It needs to be done once a year but is easy to apply. I have yet to do my MG5 (4 years old) but will post photos BEFORE and AFTER.
That is like giving them an open cheque surely? Yes sir, we will do it for £800 but we can charge more after the installation.
Does not sound good to be honest.
Go with Octopus, that would be my advice - they give you a fixed price - which varies depending on how difficult the installation is...
If your wifi reaches where you are charging the car then the connection is not an issue. If you do not have or do not intend to have solar panels then the Ohme Pro should work fine with your MG4. Everything is worked off the Ohme app with Octopus I.Go - you just set what percentage of charge you...
If the design of the car fits your needs then it is a no brainer really. The MG5 is very underrated car.
It has a good sized boot, is very easy to drive and has a good turn of speed if needed. It does what it says on the tin - a good family EV.
Not overloaded with tech but modern enough for...

1. Concerns over the roof getting damaged ( heard a horror story)
2. My age - if I die my wife has the extra expense of future maintenance - replacing inverters - cleaning panels etc.
3. Not economically viable, though I would still do it...
Range Anxiety is very overstated.
Micropop has hit the nail on the head - "Unless you are driving long trips regularly, range is not that important imo. As a rule of thumb when going on longer trips, charge when you can, not when you have to."
There is an excellent video about EV adoption from...
That is interesting as the Lexus has cameras.
A rapid accelerations speed would affect the efficiency.
My MG5 is not radar controlled but just a basic cruise control.
