    Charge port door

Do you still have the flap? I believe that the painted external bit comes off the plastic hinge so you might only need to replace the hinge part

    Is ismart always this useless

Yes, but your car needs signal to speak to the remote server. I have poor mobile phone reception in my driveway so by connecting to the wifi it doesn't have an issue (just the usual slowness). If I leave it just on the mobile data connection it sometimes does not 'wake up' at all as the car has...

    Is ismart always this useless

The car can connect to wifi, I have mine connected to the house wifi that is fairly strong on the driveway and don't have many issues with Ismart apart from it being a bit slow (but the mercedes me app is not much better and isn't free). Maybe the wifi connection helps when you're remote

    Range loss in Winter

This is the ZS section. But with my ZS EV LR in the UK, the best I got was 4.5 mi/kWh average over the month of June this year, down to about 3.5 mi/kWh average in winter last year. So about 230 miles minimum in winter and 300 miles in the summer. The range shown is based on recent driving...

    Digital key

I have used it before. You can use your phone fully instead of the key to unlock and start/drive the car. It works pretty well, but I wouldn't rely on it in general as I think it relies on having phone connection and can be a bit slow to react. Wouldn't want to park in an underground car park...

URGENT INFO WANTED REGARDING MG ZS EV POWER LOSS ISSUE

I've extensively driven 5 cars in my life, a Yaris, a Land rover, a Qashqai, a ZS EV, and an EQA. The petrol Qashqai is the only one that has ever erroneously emergency braked for me when it didn't need to. The diesel Land Rover is the only one that has had a power loss issue (among many...

Type 2 cable only locks when charging

Yeah, this is what I was going to suggest, if the timer is on the car, then it will lock when you lock the car, whereas, if you have the timer on the charger, then it won't register that it is plugged in so won't lock. I think they have the Mk1 which i'm not sure if it has the timer in the car

Type 2 cable only locks when charging

I think you can lock it manually on the screen in the charging settings, there is a lock symbol (at least there is on the Mk2). I think it locks when it establishes connection with the charger. Do you have a timer on the charger or use the car's timer?

    General query

Sometimes as you say it doesn’t show 0% when stopped but not on auto hold. I find that the percentage is a bit arbitrary. If you look at the amps, they don't always seem to line up to the same percentage each time at each speed. But when stopped not on auto hold the amps are at or near zero so...

Which ZS EV Mk2 V2L adaptor

Thank you all. I will ask MG as I have a service due soon. @Lovemyev Is there a way to check which EVCC I have vs what one is needed for V2L?

Which ZS EV Mk2 V2L adaptor

Hi, I have a 2022 ZS EV Mk2. the (long range trophy if it matters). I got a V2L adaptor off ebay (EV Cable Adapter 2022 MG ZS MG4 MG5 Discharge V2L Vehicle to Load UK Power Cut | eBay) but it does not appear to work. I plug it in, turn the car on and select the discharge screen, but it says...

    The frunk!

I have both a 3D printer and an MG ZS EV. Was looking at this myself. I would be up for printing you the files and posting (uk only) for £15-£20 depending on postage costs

Is it possible to stop the annoying announcement by Moira Stewart? she usually gets the date wrong anyway!

If this doesn't work, there is a new software update. It will fix the incorrect date and the inability to turn it off as well as the erroneous 'maintain vehicle now' message. Ask next time you have a service to update the head unit software. It is a known issue so they should understand. I think...

    Pump up your tyres!

It's not high. It's what's recommended. So no issue with grip or wear. Mk1 and mk2 have different recommended pressures The mk2 is at 41psi. If you have a Mk1 then it's lower as I assume it has got different tyres.
