Speed limit warning and Lane Departure assist setting issues

If you open up the satnav, go to the settings, open up warnings and you can choose what you want to hear from there.

    Hazard Lights Flash Automatically

It will happen when vehicles approach rapidly from behind. Took me ages in my MG4 to work it out. I like it. However, there is an option in the car menu to turn it off

    Customer service - regeneration braking

Yes, if you select OPD, as long as you remain in normal, it keeps working regardless of the state of charge. If you change our if normal it pushes it out of OPD. Regardless, you still get the regenerative braking performance may be decreased warning you get in the MG4 but it works and works...

Which number spare fuse for dash cam use

Forgive me if I am missing somehting but is there a reason you are not using the usb A source behind the rear view mirror? It works well for my nextbase and powers up / donw etc as needed. I don;t use it in any kind of sentry mode though

    Custom Drive Mode

I also have comfort braking switched on in the options, it definitely smooths out the stop on OPD in my experience

    MGS5 rear floor (bulge)

Thanks for sharing and you must be pleased it isn't anything too serious. They look like some kind of spacer block, maybe they should have come out after something was fitted and were forgotten? Anyway, enjoy getting the car back soon

    MGS5 rear floor (bulge)

I am intruiged by what the cause might be. I agree with no knee jerk reactions but I can't pretend I didn't have a quick look in the back this morning as I got in!

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE - not working

I agree the gap is tempting to others to slot in to on a motorway but it feels like the right distance on 1 bar and 3 in the rain. It's definitely better calibrated that my MG4 where it always felt a bit closer than I would like and slower to respond, especially when speeding up. Overall, I...

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE - not working

Mine works, I think it has been coded to provide a lot less false positives than in my previous MG4. The 5S triggered this moiring on the way in to work when someone moved from the oncomin traffic in to my lane to pass a bus without enough room. I was comfortable with the response and response time

Two weeks in, feeling a bit Meh about the MGS5 EV if I am honest.

The spoken speed limit can be disabled in the SATnav settings if you don't want it. Personally, I leave it on as it often reads the correct speed rather than the camera

MGS5 EV Trophy Long Range test drive

It is more controlled, yes. Having come from an MG4, the difference is noticeable but I really prefer the MGS5 implementation. It makes the car feel less on-off as you press the pedal and has reduced the being bounced about for passengers, especially on B roads. Also, having popped the S5 in...
