62 mpg isn't to be sniffed at, you can seem to achieve better figures on longer drives. I did the exact same journey as before but when it was dark and rainy and only managed around 58 mpg.
I've found that you can get better mpg figure's by driving on longer journeys as apposed to town driving. I previously had a Clio hybrid and the most I managed from that car was just over 59 mpg on a journey although town driving the Clio would show figures in the low to mid 50's whereas my MG...
I've had my ZS for a couple of months now and I'm still trying to get used to the techy stuff, it's not the most intuitive system out there but it certainly makes every journey more interesting. Me and my wife think it's a great car👍
Larger wheels would suit the MG 3 better, generally you need to make sure the rolling circumference of the wheels and tyres that you fit is the same as the originals, I would imagine you can find an online calculator to work this out. Also you should keep the wheel offset the same.
Ah, sorry I thought you were talking about the green headlight icon that appears at the top right of the digital display and not the green 'A' icon. Apparently this means engine 'stop start' is active.
The green light icon appears only when the headlights are actually on to remind you that they are in automatic mode. The car doesn't have a stop start mode per se, it should go into EV mode when at a standstill depending on the charge state of the traction battery. Unfortunately I can't help...
I did see that in one of your previous posts so was thinking it could be the brakes but it sounds a little more serious now that you have explained it. A worn CV joint generally 'knocks' on full lock when it is worn out and for the car to be doing this on left and right lock would mean both CV...
The reason I ask is because car brake discs are made from cast iron and will get surface corrosion very quickly, in the matter of a day at this time of year. I've had cars where the brakes will make a grinding sound until the surface corrosion has worn away but it doesn't take long to do so.
On your actual steering wheel you'll see a button with picture of a steering wheel on it, press this button whilst you are driving and the steering wheel on the digital display will turn blue along with the number above it. Whatever speed you are traveling at when you press the button will set...
I had an issue with a brand new Toyota Yaris a couple of years ago, It had a dent in the rear passenger door and a deep scratch on the drivers door. I pointed this out to the salesman when I collected the car but wasn't happy with the dealers solution so they refunded my money in full after only...
My ZS Hybrid's front brakes 'squeak' when the car is on full lock but definitely not grinding. The engine can be rather vibratory when going from EV mode into petrol mode at higher speeds but I wouldn't say it's an alarming sound.
It's horrible when you get a nice new car and there's a problem, I had an issue with a brand new Toyota Yaris a couple of years ago, I only kept the car for three days and took it back for a refund. I won't buy a Toyota again! Anyway I hope things work out well for you 🙏
