    5th Service Confusion

Mine was done at Holden MG in Norwich today. Quoted £278 on phone. They phoned yesterday to say the price would now be £300 but I objected so they promised the original quote. Picked the car up and they said all was good and my battery state of health was 99% - it was 86.4% last year so they...

    Expensive knock (radar unit damaged)

Thanks all. It’s in the body shop at the moment having a new bumper, lower trim, wheel arch trim, and radar unit, plus a resprayed wing where removing the bumper pulled the paint with it. It than has to go to MG to be recalibrated at £249. Total cost to the insurance company is almost £2k for...

    Expensive knock (radar unit damaged)

If I could (I can’t) calibrate it myself then I probably would.

    Expensive knock (radar unit damaged)

So today I had a very minor collision with a deer that shot across the road in front of me. It was so slight that the deer ran off seemingly unharmed, but the bumper obviously flexed and the paint has shed. Now all the ADAS systems are offline and bonging warnings at the start of every journey...

    Knocking noise in the rear

It was the boot catch for me too leading to movement in the boot lid when closed. Easy to adjust using the black rubber stops on the boot - they just screw in and out by hand.

MG ZS service- being ripped off?

Thanks for that info. I just came on here to find out about the ‘door and light’ recall the dealer just told me about but didn’t know what it meant. My charge door doesn’t lock any more so hopefully it will fix that.

    5th Service Confusion

Thank you for the info. The Gen 1 and Gen 2 service schedules are different according to MG’s website which might be where the dealer misinformation comes from. There is also an alternative low mileage schedule for the Gen 2 but it was scrapped for the Gen 1.

    5th Service Confusion

I’ve been ringing round for quotes for a 5th service on my 2020 ZS EV and have differing advise from each dealer. According to the MG website the 5th year service is basic and includes nothing extra. Some dealers have told me the coolant needs changing, others have said the transmission oil...

Unable to charge with CCS chargers

I had this happen to my Gen 1 in France this year. Fixed by disconnecting the 12V battery for a minute. The Gen 1 has to be locked to charge from a Type 2 but it doesn’t matter with CCS charging.

Post your MG ZS EV battery SOH data please

My Gen 1 was 92.13% in November at 21,000 miles and is now 89.1% at 29,000 miles. The car is 53 months old and is mostly slow charged at home with the occasional rapid. Degradation of 3% over 7 months and 8,000 miles equates to 5.1% per year or 4.5% per 12,000 miles. Overall degradation...

    Stuck in France (nearly)!

For me the charging experience in France was very easy and literally half the price of UK rapids. I was able to use Electroverse for 95% of the chargers, just remember that Freshmile ones don’t allow the app but do accept the Electroverse card. There are a lot of supposedly open to all Tesla...

    Stuck in France (nearly)!

So we’re on a long road trip through France at the moment. Everything has been brilliant with the car and rapid charging is much much cheaper than in the UK. Today, however, panic set in when all of a sudden the car wouldn’t charge from any AC or DC charger. I eventually worked out that the...

I’ve never had any problems with Gridserve.

    Battery health going down!

Exactly what I have done and made zero change to the state of health reading.

    Comfort 2 update cost

£460 is now zero cost as I complained they were too expensive. It’s taken 2 days so far because they are waiting for MG technical to work out why the infotainment unit won’t take the update.
