No I've bought an older car, feel a bit let down by rapid public charging infrastructure when I've tried long journeys, so hoping the situation improves and I'll be back to electric in a few years.

No sunroof to go wrong on the exite, which is why I chose it, I live in an area with lots of speed bumps, which has caused me problems with different cars I've had with sunroofs

Thanks, quick question for anyone who might know, when I switch to octopus and get a smart meter, does it affect the 50% export from my solar, do they remove that generation meter aswell? Because I believe smart meters can measure what's being exported, do they use that instead?

The Mg has got an inverter under the bonnet which converts the 240 mains Ac voltage to whatever the DC voltage is required to charge the battery, I'm pretty sure all the granny charger does is a simple switch to communicate with the car to turn itself on when it's connected, same as a 7kw wall...

To be fair them 4 holes which have a plastic plug in are where is been attached to a machine conveyer belt when it's been made, they could have finished that off better quite easily, and I myself took these plugs out and smeered a little grease on just in case, and put the plastic plug back in...

Did you try a different brand/company of charger, we have some in our town that don't work sometimes, but if I go and try instavolt they always seem to work. But maybe mine sometimes does as you say at a faulty charger, it tries so many times then gives up.

Yeah android phone, the app for the beta test, it seems to work ok with the timed charging bit.

Have many of you tried the app yet? I notice that although the timed charging bit works fine, the end time on the stats tab is only when it's been unplugged, although it stops charging the car at the end time set, so it does work, it just displays the wrong end time on the stats tab.

I also had to give my Gmail email address so that I could get it activated through play store, I don't think you can just download it at the moment. I just clicked the link to accept in the email, then went onto play store and updated the pod point app, didn't download any new app, and the...

I had an email link to download the app off podpoint, I believe there has been some sort of update made to the unit aswell, because when I agreed to take part they asked for the serial number of the unit/charger. I have tried it timed for a couple of hours and it has worked fine.
