I've tried MG UK support , they replied with we don't have that information, however since no one seems to know here's my theory. In a deep dark bamboo forest an undiscovered herd of pink fluffy unicorns were found, cloned and stuffed into the battery pack to give magical motion power. ;-)

Thanks, I'll see if I can find the guide. However I'll have to search further to find out why in Hev mode mine was recharging the batteries to maintain a 50 mile electric range!.

Yes it's the new version HS Phev, 6 months old. I've scoured the user manual and requested documentation from MG UK but that enquiry has stalled at the moment. Many thanks

I was looking for how each mode should operate. Eg In EV mode will the ICE start during heavy loads like steep hills or overtaking, when battery at 0% and ICE takes over will it also recharge the battery (not what I would expect for Phev but have seen this). Eg in Hev mode (longer trips) mine...

I've been trying to get a description of operation of EV and HEV modes on my ehs phev, getting varying and conflicting verbal descriptions from dealers. Has anyone tracked down official documentation. Awaiting in anticipation.

Mines doing the same, cars of the dealer next week, along with "service vehicle immediately " and wildly fluctuating inter and exterior temperatures. Will post the outcome
