Same problem on mine. Diagnosed on 24/6/25. No idea when they would get a replacement. Fortunately the warning light has now gone out, so at least my anxiety is not being triggered!

Unless I anticipate a long wait, I simply flick up the handbrake switch ( the little red light on the switch will come on) while still in drive. Auto releases as soon as you touch the throttle again to move off. Long wait, then I agree with Clive, put it in park, as above.
