Road tax was only for the first year - we now have to pay it. (I’ve just paid mine).
Did you mean the luxury car tax that didn’t apply to 74 plates?
I feel for those trading in, at £40,000 sell price the trade in must be near half of what they paid for the car.
Its been over a year's ownership for a number of Cyberster owners, so how is your battery faring?
Typical battery depreciation in the first year is roughly 2%, which increases the number of charge cycles (which corresponds to miles) you use it.
To get the degradation amount, you can plug in a...
Bit more investigation and it appears as though we'd know if it was fitted, it hangs just behind the rear view mirror and is large enough that you can insert the SD card you mentioned.
What I'm next wondering is if the power lines are present and active still as it would make it a lot easier to...
More sluthing - a previous forum member also mentioned that the Cyberster has a built in video recorder that he was able to pull the videos off of.

Going through the manuals a bit more, it looks like its an option that gets fitted into the windscreen camera location and is wired down to the drivers footwell.
I can't understand why they'd need to use two cameras though, perhaps a low resolution one for ADAS and a high resolution one for the...
I've just been through the 'Electrical diagrams EU.pdf' document and there is reference to a 'Driving Video Recorder” / “Driving Vedio Recorder' device that's an optional extra for the car.
It appears to be connected into the body harness somewhere and talks to the BCM to wake up and record...
That's not your fault.
I went through the manual again (and they hide this well), and I think it's disabled unless the airbags have gone off. The manual also mentions the windows need to be down before hand so you were probably trying to force against the glass.
I think we're talking cross-purposes.
@sunbeamowner - my doors were lifted by a small amount so that wouldn't have helped, but have you tried to lift the doors manually? Lifting using that thin door edge is not comfortable or easy at all.
@4Rens - In an emergency (to get in from outside) you...
I found a microfiber cloth just smears the water around (and you can’t check until you get back in the car) and there is risk of scratches if there is any dirt on the camera.
Honestly I wouldn’t be adverse to it.
My doors refused to open in the rain last night and trying to manually lift them was a nightmare as they’re so heavy and no grip.
Adding a handle I could pull on (maybe near the bottom) would be great
It might be me, but I find the Cyberster a nightmare to drive in the dark and rainy months.
With no rear wiper and it being a large car I rely heavily on the cameras (which aren’t great to start with) and 90% of the time they’re unusable because they’re covered with water droplets. Add in the...
I had a quick look at the requirements and the Cyberster just wouldn’t meet them.
Probably means killing off the car as we know it in the next few years as it doesn’t look like it’s a priority (think of the software updates).
