Write a formal complaint to MG in that case. If the wheel trims are not fit for purpose then its possible you might get somewhere with this. Wheel trims are £45 each on ebay if you end up footing the bill, I'd probably go out and find a set of compatible alloy wheels?

To me that looks like its been in a car wash that uses wheel acid. We used to use it when I worked in valeting and back then we didn't have fancy painted wheels
