This is a great overview and sounds like a very similar trip to what we're doing, thanks for the advice.
Looks like the Charnock Richard services are a little further along than my planned stop but if I'm also achieving similar m/kwh to you I'll probably go to the same services.
Good advice, thanks. I considered the 135 mile trip to my first planned stop to be quite conservative, however if I'm achieving 2.5 mile per kwh things could get a little tense! All fun and games planning these long journeys 😁
Yes I've had a look at ABRP and may well use it on the day, but was put off by the amount of different options you can set (I don't know what my exact SOC% will be when we set off for example), so I found just using Google maps to map out the route to be best for me at least when planning in...
Me and the missus are heading up to the Lake District for a week away next month, a place we've both wanted to go to for a while.
I know there are plenty of threads discussing longer journeys in the MG4 so please delete if necessary, however some advice would be appreciated.
We are heading...
Welcome to the forum mate.
I got mine used with only 3k miles on the clock but I won't lie to you, I had a couple of serious issues in the first few months (My main infotainment screen died and despite repeated visits to my local dealer it was not fixed until about 3 months later). - However as...
Yesterday driving through central MK I had an exact matching 23 plate black Trophy in the lane next to me for a good 10 mins or so. Not sure they took much notice of it though :ROFLMAO:
Conversely here in not so exotic MK, I see MG4's everywhere. Always a Blue one parked in the retail park near me. Even saw a lovely X-Power leaving the train station the other day. (Yet to catch @pjmmk though!)
I don't hate it, definitely doesn't look anywhere near as good as the current MG4 IMO. But it's fine. By the time my PCP is up I doubt I'd look at another MG4 anyway.
Just checked my tax status on the GOV website today and it now shows taxed until 1st April 2026, so I assume it worked as intended and I will now not pay any tax for 12 months.
That's very frustrating. I had an issue last summer (which stretched into late Autumn) whereby my infotainment screen died and flat out refused to come back on.
Took numerous visits to the dealer including a service and a decent wait for a new screen to arrive, but they did replace it under...
This is actually one of the few things that has taken some getting used to for me.
Slowing down with the help of regen only for it to suddenly back off and rely entirely on the friction brakes. It definitely can catch you by surprise if you're not paying attention!
