Most likely, it's going to stay like this for the whole year. Manufacturers have lead times of up to 9 months due to supply chain disruptions and material shortages.
Hi,
I am travelling to France this month and was wondering about the charger formats there, more specifically Type 2 chargers.
It seems that charging points in France use a modified variant of the Type 2, called Type 2S.
Does anyone know if French charging plugs are compatible with standard...
Researchers found that charging times increased significantly in cold weather. When an EV battery was charged at 25 degrees, a DCFC charger might charge a battery to 80 percent capacity in 30 minutes. When charging at 0 degrees, the battery's state of charge was 36 % less after the same amount...
Yes, because the root of the problem has nothing to do with AC or DC. The issue is that
extreme charge/discharge cycles are bad for all lithium-ion batteries (the kind of batteries used in EVs but also laptops and phones).
So the problem is that charging batteries to full and using them up all...
If you're aiming for a budget charger, I recommend the 11kW Smart Home Wallbox by EN Plus. It's cheap (350 or thereabouts), but it still has fairly decent specs and a great app.
I myself switched to Ohme recently, mostly because pf the Octopus energy tarif (Specs here).
I have an Ohme cable charger as well. Taking grants and installation cost into account, I think I paid something around £600 or thereabouts. I have been using it for 2.5 years and I am pretty satisfied with it.
