Sir, I tip my hat to you. This has been troubling me for some weeks now. Less "auto lights" more lights on permanently. I have yet to drive it in the dark and see when the lights do "auto on" but i can always affect the sensitivity with a less opaque shade.
Yeah I have managed to find a sound I am happy with, although I have the bobby basic car with no rear speakers! Crikey, what car comes with no speakers in the rear. If it weren't a 3 year lease, I would have cut 6x9 holes in the parcel shelf by now. Ah the good ol' days.

Ah yes, right you are, hence the "usb 2" in the music player. However my usb c port now has my footwell led strips plugged into it. Never too old to pimp my ride.

The usb c port is charging only. However it is a slow charge, not the fast standard for usb c. My advice, buy a plug in 12v converter for the "cigarette lighter" socket. I got one that charges at the same rate as my mains one. It has a usb c and a usb A (standard) socket.
The best way i have found to play music in the MG4 is to use the android auto feature and play through ones phone. Easier to scroll through album/artist, plays in the correct order, unlike the second rate "infotainment" system and gives more control over the sound. I found the 5 bar eq...
