Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

The MG5 has a "find your car" feature where pressing the lock button on the remote will cause this behavior to help you locate your car. Could you have accidentally triggered this (if the ZS has it)?

Use up and down on the right set of buttons to switch between the different info screens. Pressing right takes you to the options you have found. Left should take you back out if I remember correctly.

Whats the state of charge of the HV battery? My MG5 won't increase the KERS mode if the SoC is close to 100%, will put a message on screen saying mode not available or something. If your battery is below 90% and it won't let you go up the levels then it could be a fault.

All other variables being equal, the regeneration available and hence, recovered energy, is lower above 80% SoC than below. I'm assuming this is reflected in the miles per kWh the car displays.

I have noticed this as well. My short journey to work achieves 3 miles per kWh below 80% but only 2.6 if above 80%. Full level 3 regeneration coming off the dual carriageway shows -125 amps ( the same as I've had from a 50kW rapid charger) below 80% charge but maxed out at 70 or 75 when above...

I think they automatically go back to the normal rest position when you next start the car, so make sure they are flat against the windscreen or the arms will hit the bonnet.

I wish the sound was customisable, like a mobiles ringtone. Imagine fiddling with your mates work van and having it play the Laurel and Hardy theme at low speeds :D

Your underwear aside (sorry, couldn't help it :p) no one here works for MG, we're just trying to help you with your problem. The parking brake also functions as the emergency brake, not sure why anyone other than rally drivers would be using the parking brake and throttle at the same time...

Does it still happen if you keep the brake pedal depressed until the car indicates that its start up checks are complete and the car is in ready mode?

Don't know if anyone has mentioned it or not, but is there any evidence of damage/debris in the plug or charging port? Plugging, unplugging then re connecting could be enough to clean a poor connection enough for the car to charge at 7kW over the 3kW

Also, a double press of the lock button will put the hazards on and sound the horn in short beeps to help you find your car (or scare the neighbours cat). You can change whether or not the horn sounds in the car settings.

I don't mind it TBH. My last car you had to go from park, to reverse, to neutral then to drive.

I'm not an electrician, but I don't see why not. It is rated (and presumeably fused for) 13 amps, which is the fuse rating on the granny cable. Looked on Amazon and there are a couple of people who use it for charging their EV's so you should be fine. Just regularly check the plugs aren't...

Yeah, I posted a picture of the Roewe which this car is based off and it has a squarer plate with 4 holes. Read in another thread that some dealers will fit larger plates that will use all 4 holes, others use the plastic strip. If the strip was chromed, it wouldn't look so out of place.
