    Fan running while charging ?

I’ve heard the same thing in mine, I think it is quite normal.

About to take the plunge and get the HS 2025 PHEV

Two thoughts on this - firstly, the granny charger. I never really use mine, but I did negotiate it into my initial purchase, and the dealer were happy to do this (also, floor mats, which I find more useful). We have a wall charger at home, so don’t need the granny charger here, but may need...

    Air con controls greyed out.

Quick update - after a bit of a lie down, all is working again now.

    Air con controls greyed out.

Here’s a new one - I’ve jumped into the car today and I cannot control my a/c - everything is greyed out except the settings button, and it’s blowing flipping cold! Luckily the hard button still turns or in or off, but on my outbound journey I was cycling between frigid and roasting. I’m hoping...

    Are star buttons fixed yet?

Thank you for the info. I’ll get in contact with the dealer. I shudder to think what fixing this issue may break though :)

    Are star buttons fixed yet?

Hi all, as many of you have also experienced, the customizable star buttons on my steering wheel stopped working a while back - I cannot assign actions (well, I can, but they reset to “vehicle” as soon as I restart the car) and, regardless of what they’re set to, nothing happens when I press...

    2025 HS PHEV Towbar

Thank you for both the new section prompt and the towbar info Aerofurb. Is there any estimate on the cost of the towbar yet? I’m still considering my options for trailer -v- roof rack. I’ve always had a towbar, but the reality is that I don’t use it a whole lot (for instance, I paid £1200 for...

New member with an incoming HS

It’s difficult to say - the range is significant, but the petrol engine starts to kick in when the battery reaches 10-15%. My previous hybrid, a Golf GTE would get to zero before burning dead dinosaurs, and that claimed 32 miles, of which I generally saw around 20-25. The MG is far better than...

New member with an incoming HS

I’ve had it for about four months now and driven around 3500 miles. Mostly, it’s good. It drives well, if unexcitingly, the range is good, it’s comfortable and even the stereo sounds nice. I’ve had some issues. The windows do seem keen to mist up when it’s wet outside, and it’s been back to...

    2025 MGHS Speaker adjustment problem

Sounds like you may have the same dealer as me…

    2025 MGHS Speaker adjustment problem

I have the new one, but you are on a different screen to the one I was looking at. Go to the Home Screen and swipe left, you will lots of other icons. Click on settings and you should find audio settings in there - including the graphic eq and soundstage. Let me know if you can’t and I’ll take...

    2025 MGHS Speaker adjustment problem

It isn’t obvious, is it? I did find it though - on the screen where you select the equalizer, at the both you should find “sound stage”, which (oh so obviously, right?) is where you adjust the balance and fader.

Windows misting in 2025 model HS PHEV

Another update - my local dealer did a marvellous job with the car, updated the software and so on in a very short time. The car was at the dealer for around half a day, and had a proper checkover whilst it was there. I spoke with the master technician when they called to say that the car was...

    Why all the beeping?

The heat from the HS is pretty rapid, and I’ve used that a couple of times, but if I’m in the car when it’s defrosting (as I have been) it’s not convenient to use the app. There are various scenarios where the car is a bit shouty on the outside, and I understand the reasons, I’m just wondering...

Windows misting in 2025 model HS PHEV

I’ll be honest, even though I’m a competent engineer and have restored cars and motorbikes in the past, I’m not sure what the hose will look like, other than trapped! The car is in thee dealers on the 17th, so that’s not too onerous a wait, and if it proves not to be a trapped hose, at least...
