I’d like to be able to turn the lights (at least the daytime running lights) on manually, but set them to turn off automatically when I lock the car. Is this possible?

Thanks guys, I'm delighted to have finally worked it out - with a little help ;) Unfortunately, I don't have the motorised tailgate - if I had, I'd just be doing the foot-swipey thing.

Yeah, that definitely doesn't work, and there doesn't appear to be any 'open switch (A)' on the tailgate - it's not like my dear, very old, Subaru Forester where you unlocked the car with one button, and the boot had a latch which enabled you to open it at any time until the whole car was locked...
