    Worst car I've ever had

I fear that as people are "forced" into EVs, we are going to see a lot more of this sorta stuff. At the very least, people need to understand DC vs AC charging and how to find the different types before getting an EV. Typical unhelpful dealer caused this situation I fear.

Are "self charging hybrids" more economical?

A 2005 petrol is ULEZ complaint. Hardly a reason to dash out £££££ on a new hybrid. Your MPG claims.. Interesting to say the least. I suspect your using extra urban figures which is not what the average driver does. The main point of the hybrid system is in towns and stop and start situations...

Are "self charging hybrids" more economical?

This is just blatantly false. Why do you think cars like the prius are extemely popular amongst taxi drivers? They are cheap to run and don't require charging. They don't have "all of the extra weight" to carry, they generally have a 1-2 kWh battery and a small motor and inverter and have no...

Dealer Wants to Remain Registered Keeper for a Few Months

You're getting a brand new car that hasn't been ragged about as a tester for what sounds like a large discount because the dealer is cheating the system. Other than the above "issues" such as PCNs and Speeding tickets being sent to the dealer which then need to be given to you, and changing the...

OHME home pro & octopus energy

Whole idea of iOG is that it finds the actual cheep slots of the half hourly wholesale electricity prices, instead of just charging on a fixed schedule. If you require more charge, it will find more cheep slots to charge the battery in the time given. ALL of these slots are at the 7p price, it...

OHME home pro & octopus energy

What???? There is no such thing as "cheap hours" on IOG - EVERY scheduled charging hour is a cheap hour. The 12:30-5:30 period is a bonus for other household things e.g. Home battery, overnight dishwasher/washing machine - Read what Octopus says - "PLUS": Its only if you manually override the...

    Emissions fault

Glad it helped :) EVAP systems have been around since 1995ish for emissions reasons On hybrids especially, the petrol system is normally permanently pressurized, except for refueling. This is so that the petrol lasts longer, as water vapour is not able to get in. Excess pressure is burnt off...

    Emissions fault

You sure the petrol cap is done up to specification (1 or 3 clicks) - that is the most common cause of the light. edit: if you find it loose it will take a few drives for the light to go off again once tightening.

Demo new car - air conditioner compressor not working (many fault codes)

Sorry, what. I'm not doubting you, but so far, to my knowledge, no MG HS phev has electric heat and needed the engine to kick in in winter, are you saying you can get heat without the engine?

Octopus does It Again!! (Tariff Reduction July 2024)

7 hours? 49Kwh Every day? what's that, 150 Miles/Day - Fair play for picking an EV for such a long commute!

    Amazon music - can’t login.

Mirrorlink, unlike AA and AC was rarely used by the majority. If AA or AC was taken they would be outrage

    LKA useful or a hindrance

MG do have a physical button for LKA on the HS (Maybe MG5 gen1 too) on the end of the stalk. They have gone backwards in this world of everything controlled via a screen nonsense
