ZS EV on the German Autobahn - top speed!

I did 155kmph ~9 days back... it was on eco mode, didn't go above 155 and I didn't try sports mode, apparently, it goes to 175kmph in India on sports mode.

    MG ZS EV upgrade

MG is not really claiming this to be an upgrade. This is just a "refresh" according to them. Practically nothing has changed. Mostly software bits. The real upgrade should come by the end of this year or early next year; 500km+ range (larger battery pack), better drive train etc.

    Range Real World

The EVs are most efficient at ~15kmph which is less than 10 miles/hr. That's impractical. I have driven MG ZS EV, for a little over 1500km till now and the best figures that I got was ~280km on one single charge (still 5% battery remaining), with 4 adults and 1 child, covered in ~3.5 hrs (there...

    MG ZS EV upgrade

I checked with my dealer. What I gathered... 1. The battery and drivetrain are exactly the same. The extra range one can expect is around 15-20% (so we are getting 270km now, this will be ~320km, both in the real world), and this comes exclusively with a better battery management software (BMS)...

    MG ZS EV upgrade

Same size but different tech. Effectively 30% increase in the range.

    MG ZS EV upgrade

Screengrab from the show. The real life range was already as good as if not better than Kona (although Kona claimed higher). So this is too good for the price. The ground clearance is far far better. Having puchased the car just 3 months back, I am devastated :'(

    Handsfree usage

Connecting to Bluetooth was straightforward for me. The car now automatically connects with the phone and syncs the phonebook and call history, so I can start making calls within a minute, just by pressing the call button on the steering. It also plays music from my phone (I use Youtube Music)...

    Driving during Monsoon

Well, I don't have one right now, but I can see petitions on change.org https://www.change.org/p/ministry-of-road-transport-uniform-speed-breakers-all-over-india?use_react=false they cause a lot of damage and deaths...

    Driving during Monsoon

Sadly, it isn't enough for Indian roads. ALthough the official guidances suggest that the "height of the speed bumps should be 0.1 metre with a chord length of 3.7 metre and radius of 17 metre." more than half of Mumbai speed-breakers, for example, do not follow that norm. In my experience, if I...

    Driving during Monsoon

I am not very worried about the battery in the rains... but I am not too confident either... (not much water here) (little more, also talks about the IP67 rating here) However I recently saw a what's under video, and the electric motor looks pretty much exposed at the bottom. I am not sure if...

My car rolled forward after parking

You are right. I checked a few places and it does work at high speed. I may have mixed up with the circular P button when I was reading about it :(

    Why RFID cards?

Yes the card is a waste :'(

    Eco vs Normal; efficiency.

Yes it does. AC on range is 282km, AC off range is 320km.

    Driving during Monsoon

Hi Rajesh, the battery pack is waterproof. They showcased the ability of the car to handle waterlogging when it was launched. I am waiting for the Mumbai Monsoons to test it out myself. Regarding the infotainment it is a known bug, i have faced it a couple of times, but not in last 1 month...
