I had issues with getting a cheap RGB CarPlay dongle from Ali Express up and running with my Xpower (albeit in the UK).
As other have seen, I’ve had to use a quality cable, and change the configuration for the dongle to add a delay before booting to 40 seconds to give the car time to boot up...
We’ve had our mg4 trophy (my22) for just over twelve months - it is the most enjoyable car I’ve ever had.
I like it so much that when an opportunity came up for me to get an xpower on salary sacrifice with work, I jumped at the chance. Our second mg4 was delivered just before Christmas.
The...
I feel really fortunate. We bought our trophy in December 22 and then I had an opportunity only a couple of weeks ago to get an Xpower on salary sacrifice from work.
For the salary sacrifice I’ve tried so many cars but nothing compared to the Trophy so when the Xpower came out (and I tried it...
This the image for the replacement light cluster available in Ali Express (one of the more expensive mg4 items available on there).
It might give some hints on how to remove/replace.
After putting in an order for a white one as a salary sacrifice company car a few months back, and then cancelling it, I’ve just put an order in for a black one.
Apparently there is uk stock so I’m hoping to get it before Christmas.
Xciting times.

I noticed it on both my test drives but it wasn’t particularly intrusive. I was aware of it because of this forum before the test drive so I then probably went looking for it.
It certainly wasn’t enough to stop me putting in an order. Could be tyres, could resonant frequencies, could be...
Given most reviews say that it is anything but a hot hatch, and that many mg4 drivers are probably north of 50 years old (me included) and well aware of both the car and my own limitations, I’m not expecting a huge spike in accidents associated with the power.
My test drive whilst enjoyable...
I had the same during my commute a couple of days back.
I tried enabling and disabling the aircon short cut but that didn’t help and ended up using the buttons under the screen to change.
As with your experience but during my journey, it started working again, possibly because I disconnected...
£450 comes off before tax - hence the tax break.
Edit: so my thinking is that it will be around £300 per month worse off, but I’ll have a brand new white xpower.
Aren’t the total costs (real term money out of pocket) are closer to £300 per month all in for a 40% tax payer based on a salary sacrifice of £450 per month and benefit in kind of £720 per year?
