For a test turn on Mobile Hotspot on your mobile phone and connect the car to it. Then try the online services. Have you accepted the live service agreements ? There is somewhere in the settings that needs doing to get stuff to work I think.
There is no way the statement "un-flustered by crosswinds" holds true. They must have driven it on a low wind day. I wouldn't say it has a stability issue but if the wind picks up you will feel it.
What @emmrecs said.... I found out the hard way :)
READY will display.
In theory you shouldn't need it in READY mode. But READY mode 100% guarantees the 12v is then being looked after by the main battery.
Some days I get 4g... Some days E.... Some days it just goes to sleep and can't be bothered until I sit in the car and after 10 seconds to 5 mins it will wake back up and connect... and then its a lottery like I say what speed you get. Location makes no difference (it gets parked in two...
It doesn't handle high winds really well. I travel to Leeds and back across the moors every week. It was really strong winds last week and I was having to work hard and pay extra attention to keep it in lane for sure. It did ultimately stay in lane mind. Not sure I would call it a stability...
I think we have found out that to ENSURE the 12V is being charged by the main battery it has to be in READY mode. I always leave it in READY mode now while stationary.
But its not true that is the only way the 12V is charged by the main battery. The car is meant to maintain the 12V battery at...
I think its a false narrative to start talking about would you have paid x amount extra for the car to work as advertised :)
I think you sell a car with a number of features for x price and then you expect it to work for the price.
There is a danger I come across as really not liking the MG...
Every journey for me while using ACC. There is loads of bad cars out there. Not sure that gives the MG a pass...
Its 2025 and its a brand new car and it has "niggles" I would have expected to see on a car 6+ years ago when some of the features where considered new.
Its a very good cheap car...
Yeah as much as I am finding issues with the MG and comparing it to my Skoda. There is at least a £10k difference on the sticker price between the two if not more.
