I'm not convinced that would be cost effective - you'd need at least 30kWh of battery storage to put a decent charge into an EV, taking into account round trip losses of about 85% to and from the battery storage. And then a decent size inverter... :unsure:

Just wondering whether you have you tried disconnecting the 12V battery for a bit, reconnecting and test again? Also, as @Jomarkh suggested, have you tried your vehicle on a different AC charger and tried your granny on another EV?

Doesn't sound right to me. Have you checked... a) that you didn't select any cabin pre-conditioning to be on? b) that your smart meter's night-time usage concurs with what your charger reported it used? - and, if you're old, like me - c) that you had your glasses on and didn't misread the...

@OriginalBigAl - fortunately, some of us over here in the countryside and you in France have TT earthing :)

(y) Command sockets are approved under section 722 of BS7671 for EV charge points. But, like dedicated BS1363-2 EV rated 13A sockets, when installed within a property with a TN-C-S earthing arrangement will require dedicated earth rod or PEN fault detection.
