It's nice to know how much data is actually being given by MG to use. I thought when I got my MG 4 (march 23) that we were actually being given 5Gb, I never had this confirmed however, the dealer saying they didn't know and to contact MG customer services, their reply was that it was a dealer issue.
Yep, it's quite a slow process for manufacturers to change to an EV production line. They were all told some 8 to 10 years ago about the petrol and diesel ban, and although the dates might have changed to and from 2030/2035 there was still an immanent ban. Most have reacted to that and have EV's...
Autocar have just released this article. Although not currently official, German newspaper Bild has been told plans "were off the table"

That's a pity, I suppose it's in the fuction of the buck regulator used within the LED assembly to keep the brightness constant over a range of input voltages
@Kenp1, with the change to LED's do the interior lights still fade out when the doors are shut, or do they tend to stay the same brightness and then just go off?
The light switch each side just turns them on and off but the door close produces a theatre dimming effect.

There should have been a Certificate of Conformity in your handover pack from the dealer, or left in the glovebox, this confirms all of the basic specs, and build date.
If the S5 is similar to the 4 then the EV management figure in iSmart will be based on the mode the car was used in when it was put on charge. In my 4, I always use the ECO mode (comfort in the S5) where the app predicts around 252 miles for 100%, whereas the car reverts to the normal mode when...
Not only do they get you on the day rate for each kWh on the average EV tariff, but also the daily standing charge.
On EON Next Fixed 18m v23 tariff the standing charge is 32.60p daily, whereas EON Next Drive Fixed v9 EV tariff is 48.03p daily.
It's not that easy to find the standing charge...
In an update to my original post, relating to my comment about keeping the port clean. I noticed what looked like a small seed lodged near the top of the tube. I didn't want this to get stuck further down, and as it was visible near the top I used a small hook tool to pull it out. In the process...
I too can post my figures for November, which look OK. My first post which was a very accumulated total of 84:41 hours gave a average of 4.2mls/kWh during warmer months, so I'm not surprised to see this reduced now to 3.5mls/kWh.
It was interesting to note that after the reset of the accumulated...
The part that has got hot in the plug is the connection/ interface of the fuse to the plug internals, and not the connection to the 13A socket. This looks like the Granny charger plug, or at least the fuseholder moulded into the plug is at fault as @Everest points out.
