Having posted my in car figures for January @ 3.4mls/kWh, I've now worked out the figures for electricity in, to milage for January on my spreadsheet. This gives a figure of 4.104mls/kWh overall, at a cost of 10 pence/mile.
Here are my figures for January taken from the trip computer. I've also made up a spreadsheet that shows efficiency from charging input to milage/cost as a true efficiency figure, as yet for last month to be compiled.
Many of the Granny Charger 13A plugs will have 5 wires in them, 3 will be the power and have a CSA of 1.5 to 2.5mm sq, and two smaller ones that come from a temperature sensor built into the plug for just this reason. It would simply error and stop charging with such heat present.
This type of...
It certainly looks like there is a heat source on the fuse cover in the back of the plug as the plastic has bubbled, so may well indicate a poor connection.
I saw this on my way home. One of our fellow MG drivers with a PCN on the windscreen.
For several years the Source London double chargepoint has had, to the left a bay marked "electric vehicles only". To the right no markings, but part of a residents parking area, permit required.
It's not often...
I've noticed there is a third battery option shown in the manual. It is fitted in the 125 kW motor version normally with the 49kWh battery, and is rated at 62kWh, both LFP?
Separately there is then the 170 kW motor with the 64kWh battery, presumably NMC.
It doesn't quote the market for the...
@Toadroy, had they worked previously?
Does the tailgate open ok with the keyless entry? Also, have you tried with your second key. It might be an issue with one of the keys. Is there any "smart key not detected" messages when you get into the car?
If you've tried all these these and it's all ok...
You'd just expect that with the inherent losses during the charging conversion (around 10%) in the CCU that the power input effective mls/kWh from the EVSE would be a lower figure than the DC to 3 phase AC conversion in the motor controller mls/kWh.
So which figure then is the actual value, the...
I think I've been doing the car and myself some injustice in relying on the mls/kWh figure from the onboard trip computer. This, for the last two months has shown 3.5mls/kWh. I saw a spreadsheet from @KnightRider for his IM5, and made up a spreadsheet using my own records of home and public...
@salty, It only gets tricky when, like in Sweden they switched from driving on the left hand side of the road to the right overnight, 3rd September 1967 Dagen H (H-day) as it was named.
