have you by any chance looked at the charging port? from memory, the seal around the door collects a lot of water, and i wonder if any moisture has gone into the type 2 port
it doesn't auto switch. neither do the mgs5 mgs6 and i bet the 2026 mg4
It does however keep two brightness levels for when the lights are on and when the lights are off so that should work for you.
in fact i didn't much like the auto switch, i would prefer a drop down menu toggle tbh
rather than automatic, i would prefer it if were a single switch on the drop down menu
i haven't yet encountered a car with weak headlights as my eyes are very sensitive to light.
i actually find many drivers don't bother to lower their lights when they have a boot full and some passengers...
when the car is off, the tyre pressure isn't updated but the tyre pressure monitor inside each tyre will report a low pressure warning if there's a sudden loss in pressure.
Therefore i would get that tyre checked, and i would inflate to 37 psi (if that's the minimum recommended) when they are...
don't have an mgs6 but an mg4 urban with the new 'car shape' fob. there's an emergency key in one of the fobs i have. no idea if it's actually going to work 😅
not sure if you are joking or if you are serious? 🤷🏻♂️
i quoted a table of values comparing the mg urban and provided a list of corrections at the bottom.
The author of the table got a few things mixed up and also claims there was an Urban SE 51 kWh which is obviously not the case.
Used to drive an MG4 SE, never saw WLTP figures in my driving and yes the range drop in the winter due to the heater was noticeable especially on short trips
Now have sn Urban standard range, and although i haven't yet driven in subzero temperatures, i exceeded WLTP figures on a regular basis...
Urban SR:
usable 41.9 kWh
0-62 mph 9.5s
built in satnav Yes
Heat pump: Yes
16" alloys (black 5 spoke design) with standard plastic aero covers
Not sure why you publish a WLTP range of figures
Once the 12V battery is fully depleted, you need to rescue it using a charger like the NOCO genius 2 to push some charge into it and then keep charging to 100% which can take a day or more
for future reference, bear in mind the 12V battery might not be charged while the car is switched off if the HV battery state of charge is below 50%
And the battery charge going from 30% to 22% in one week seems excessive to me.
i've actually never seen the battery charge depleting while away...
i actually prefer the gear selector stalk to the centre wheel. don't mind about the wipers being on the left stalk and certainly hardly ever had to use the light selection switch on the old mg4 so i don't miss it at all
i get way more miles from the Urban's 42kWh battery than the SE 51 kWh
i'm visiting Hever castle today, 35% battery left, GoM estimates 79 miles, my journey back will be 60 miles mostly motorway at 65mph, and i know i will make it back without any issues
are there any release notes about the latest update for the LOW spec? Any Service Campaigns you are aware of? any difference you noticed since upgrading?
then i'm confused as to whether there indeed is only one software version or multiple versions.
and whether the version numbers are specific to the particular market: comfort in uk does not have live services either, so the interface is a bit different. and we saw that with the original MG4 in...
indeed. i'm certain there are updates, but i probably have the same version modules as the OP and i have had zero issues so far.
i'm not ruling out a potential issues in the future, and im sure in due course i'll find out if there's any urgent update.
Maybe if the dealer could share the actual...
Bloody hell they get a lot for their money over there.
• Wireless CarPlay: Now included in the domestic Chinese model, which the reviewer identifies as the most significant update for this version (0:56).
• Larger Infotainment Screen: A new 15.6-inch screen is now standard across all trim...
