I have had GivEnergy for 2 years, and it's been brilliant. They also have the charger and smart plugs, so the ecosystem is there in one app. The UI is good. And they have a tie up with Axle for a tasty export bonus.

I tried with my MG5 LR pre facelift and using the Tesla app, it was a fail. I didn't try contactless, but I doubt that would work as the charger could not recognise the car.

Might be worth trying again, they let me on board only a couple of weeks ago, maybe it's changed recently

I can't monitor charging progress, my older MG5 doesn't have the app, but I sometimes leave my number on the dashboard in case anyone can call me if I am inadvertently hogging a charger.

I love my MG5 LR. As said elsewhere, the spread of Tesla SC sharing will hopefully bring down the cost of all public chargers, a point well made in the recent "Dave Takes it on" video on YouTube. I reckon I do 80% of charging at home, so maybe I am just being a grump!
