I don't know, to be honest. I updated mine last year on my 2022 Trophy and decided not to bother any more. Using Google maps on AA instead. Always up to date and live traffic. With all of my previous cars, I never wanted the inbuilt navigation system exactly for that reason - never up to date...

check previous posts on V2L and ask the seller whether you can return for refund if it doesn't work. Can't remember where I got mine now but it was £15 and the guy was happy to take it back with me paying postage both ways.

Congratulations! You are still in 2023! 😂. Honestly, not worth the hassle trying to update maps, they will never be as good as Google or Waze...

Before you go away, I would try the car for a couple of hours, just drive up and down to see what happens. It could be that there was a simple glitch that was sorted out with software update... Try it and take pictures and videos as soon as something happens, if it happens. Get RAC to email...

Just keep everything in writing, no phone calls. Keep it cool, don't get carried away and sound angry. Remember that others will read your correspondence and you will get brownie points for being reasonable in your request. I don't think you need to even accept £1,000 deduction, not your fault...

It tells you the approximate end charge time when the car is supposed to be at 100% but only when you go into the app, it doesn't have alert option. You could set up the timer on your phone or check the charge state in the app from time to time.
