Same here - I had wrong GPS location shown a few times. Each time it started correctly, but en route location was displaced e.g. it showed the middle of a town, but in reality i was on a main road beside the town a couple of km away, another time the nav showed me in a field some km beside the...
But this is the other way around, isn't it? As I understand it, you'r using your car as wifi hotspot (because your business wifi is down) and not connecting the MG to your wifi as client - correct?
Did you also check the MQTT credentials (User/Password)?
You could leave following options blank, as the gateway works ok with default values
SAIC_PHONE_COUNTRY_CODE
SAIC_REST_URI
SAIC_REGION
SAIC_TENANT_ID
On my MG (EU Version) there is a frame for the plates screwed on at predrilled holes and the number plates are just clipped into the frame. This way number plates can be changed within seconds without any tools.
P.S.: Negative side effect is that some workshops tend to change the frames with...
Maybe you want to have a look at post #11 regarding evcc. This tool can be installed within HA and provides exactly what you asked for. So you could reduce effort to implement more complex logic into HA.
In my LHD driven xpower the right star-button change the regen per default (no accepting any other setting btw) - at RHD driven cars (UK) it could be the left star-button?
Hi,
no real worries about that.
Within the plugin gateway you can dynamically define some parameters for gateway activity:
gateway_active_refresh_period (in seconds)
gateway_grace_period_after_car_shutdown (in seconds)
gateway_inactive_refresh_period (in seconds)
gateway refresh mode periodic /...
I assume you installed within HA, than it should work this way. If the gateway is running outside of HA, $(MQTT-blabla) needs to be replaced with correct values
like SAIC_USER=your_username_within i_Smart etc..
The uri should look like...
You could also define an environment variable CHARGING_STATIONS_JSON=filename
instead of a volume.
But tbh I don't use this option as I use evcc between saic-gateway and my charger to control the charging process.
What do you mean with your question "What was I supposed to enter after = ?"...
Here you can find all details about the saic gateway - its not hard to get it up/running
SAIC MQTT Gateway
On that page there is also an example for the docker compose file to set it up
docker compose file
The gateway supports Home Assistant MQTT discovery. It publishes configuration information...
for sure.
You can run HA with docker (or as VM or standalone) and a separate container for the SAIC gateway. For message delivery between these two you need a mqtt broker - this could be mosquitto broker in a docker container or as integration within HA, which is probably the more simply...
Hmm, my workshop/dealer told me today, that MG Austria refuses to upgrade my xpower to R59 because of loads of bugs.
The dealer also mentioned, they have sold quite a bunch of MG4, but I am the only owner complaining about flaws and bugs
and also to tell me to have just one customer...
I am a bit confused. Amazon music function never worked in my MG until now (R46).
What is this with "Amazon Music"? I just know about
"Amazon Prime Music" - what I have
"Amazon Music Unlimited" - has to be paid separate to an amazon prime membership
"Amazon music free" - no membership/costs...
