I wouldn’t have thought many people would consider stealing an MG5. It’s also one of the few new cars that doesn’t come with locking wheel bolts.

As I very rarely use a rapid charger, no more than five times since new, I haven't bothered. However it does have the correct hardware to be upgraded, so there would be little cost involved, if at all when combined with a service at some dealers.

A lot of MG5 owners had issues as the car failed to keep the 12V battery sufficiently charged. I believe there is a firmware update now for the MG5. To be fair to MG the same issue has occurred with other makes of EV such as Kia.

Sounds like the same software issue that affects the MG5. No surprise really considering MG’s recent history on failing to deliver software that is fit for purpose.

You have got to admire their nerve! Personally there is no way I would be agreeing to an additional charge to ensure the software is up to date on a brand new vehicle!

How much tread is on the tyre and has it been puncture-repaired? Roughly whereabouts in Leeds are you - N,S,E or W?

Just be aware that driving on a motorway at 70-75 mph significantly reduces your range. If you are happy pootling along at 55-65 mph you won’t have a problem. Cold temperatures also impact range, particularly below 7-8C. I would make sure it’s been serviced in accordance with the schedule so...
